Thats why I always say Indians can never win against Karachiites.

I am Urdu speaking Pakistani - forefathers migrated from India to Pakistan during partition.

Urdu is MY language...I am son of those brave Muslims of North India who tore apart sub continent and formed Pakistan.

I object strongly on use of Urdu proverbs by Indians when India has its own national language called HINDI.

Inferiority complex.

Guess what Indians are still slave of Urdu and its elite...

If say you are a bhaiyya from the UP/Bihar then you have every right to question. But again Urdu & Hindi are not very different. Both have born out of Hindustani with Urdu using Persian script while Hindi using the nagari script.

Spoken languages of both languages for most part are identical with Urdu having some Persian/Turkish loaned words while Hindi having Sanskrit loaned words.

This is the primary reason why non-Hindi speaking people have issues adopting Hindi as non-Hindi languages have more Sanskrit content than Hindi.

Had Indian leaders pushed Sanskrit instead of Hindi as national language it would have had a great success but alas leaders were either dumb or had agendas.

Tell that to your pakjabi brothers who mock muhajirs from UP. I always tell them it were the Muslims of UP who carved out Pakistan while Pakjabis were too damn incompetent. Urdu is a North Indian language just as Hindi. Your speaking Urdu and making it National language of Pakistan does not make it a Pakistani language, the language originated in plains from Delhi to UP and is hence an Indian language. It is the Pakistanis actually who have become slaves of a foreign language. In India it is just another scheduled language like so many others.

Ps. Hindi is not the national language of India.

Punjabis are sweet people. Never mocked us as nation, produced great Urdu poets..We respect them and they respect us....They speak Urdu.

And you yourself are a Ganga Deshi bhaiya if you are a muhajir from UP. Also English and Hindi are not "national" language of India.

Doesn't matter Pakistan made an Indian language as its national language, it still remains an Indian language.

Yeah you gave them Urdu and now they think it's cool to speak Urdu while punjabi is some backward language. Urdu is not native to any part of Pakistan. We don't claim any superiority, it's the Pakistanis with all the talks of being tall fair and handsome. If you made an Indian language as your national language that does not mean we will abandon it. Urdu is mentioned in the Constitution of India as one of the official languages.

It's not a boxing match that Urdu will beat Hindi hands down. You use it because your ancestors lived in this part of the world where the language was spoken and belongs. They migrated and introduced the language to their new home. It was shoved down the throats of people who had their own languages.

I know Urdu is more close to Muslims, but they are North Indian Muslims of Delhi, UP and also hyderabadis, some of whom migrated to Pakistan.
