Well, essentially, great powers do not engage in lord of the ring style brotherhoods because their interests overlap with more than a few geographies or regimes. In this case, China will surely develop relations with both Pakistan and India; it is simply stupid to close down one side for the sake of the other.

International politics is neither a charity nor involves altruistic moral concerns.

I am for good relations and deeper economic cooperation with India. Why not, they need investment, and China needs to invest to explore additional markets in order to complete the economic transition.

I admire chinese leaders. because they are hard people. but i feel pitty for usual chinese workslaves, i feel pitty for them, how they work 18 hours a day for just a cup of rice and soup. thats not human like living. out of 1,2 billion chinese, 1 billion is poor.
