All using canister launching even Type 55 using it, because one canister canister launching tech several different type of missiles, and @RealNapster asking what is the specification of Type 54B AESA, how this new AESA is better than AESA on Type 54A tell us that

Type 055 don't have canister launcher. 112 cell VLS.

Type 055 don't have canister launcher. 112 cell VLS.

112 VLS doesn't means its not using canister launching, first do research WHAT IS CANISTER LAUNCHING, inside the ship its using canister launching mechanism, and our question is not that type 55 have or haven't any canister launch, but how advance AESA on Type 54B is as compare to Type-54A AES please give us that answer first

By canister I mean slanted non VLS launcher like so.

VLS take up less space and shoot in any direction and pack more missiles.

This not called canister launch system but its a mechanism that can fire multiple type of missiles form single tube whether its VLS or launch canister, its a internal mechanism not external system

Concentric canister launch[edit]
Some warships of China's People's Liberation Army Navy use a concentric canister launch (CCL) system that can launch using both hot and cold methods.[2] Others use a single system: Type 052C destroyers, for example, use a cold launch system; Type 054A frigates, a hot launch system.[3]
