Doesn't matter, as Dr. Kaufman said that we could shoot them from Stuttgart and still make it look like a suicide...

A ship even the size of a corvette seems too big searching for pirate speedboats. A smaller faster well equipped boat may do a better job in a more economical way ?

I'm no expert on this but I think the job of the Chinese warships is no actively hunting down the pirates but protecting the merchant vessels from attacks.

Where do you park those boat? You still need a bigger ship.And also smaller boat had speed but not the range. The idea was to patrol anyway. Which personaly I would vote for corvette. I think PLAN idea of using DDG like many other is waste of money. But ofc I think the top of PLAN is using the somalia as a traing ground. That is why they sent DDG or FF to patrol duty.
