Some source said that it's a J-11 or Su-30 based on its wreckage.

Chinese military plane crashes; 2 deaths reported

BEIJING (AP) - A Chinese military plane crashed in the country's northwest on Monday and a news website says at least two people were killed.

The plane crashed at about 3 p.m. near the city of Weinan, about 1,000 kilometers (600 miles) west of Beijing, in Shaanxi province, according to the local fire department and the website Huashang Het.

Photos on the website showed smoking wreckage, including a tail bearing the markings of the People's Liberation Army, strewn across a farm field. It said wreckage was spread across an area 500 meters (1,500 feet) long.

At least two people were killed, Huashang Net said, citing unidentified witnesses. The website is operated by Huashang Media Group, a major newspaper publisher in the western city of Xi'an.

A man who answered the phone at the Weinan fire department said 10 fire trucks were sent to the crash site but the department had received no report of casualties. He refused to give his name.

The Chinese Defense Ministry did not immediately respond to a request for information.

Weinan also was the site of a military helicopter crash in March that injured two people aboard the craft

. .
It is very common for military aircraft to crash. When I was serving in airforce for 2.5 years, I saw 2 air crash, a total of 3 air-craft came down from the sky.

. .
Aircraft crashes do happen, but why a Chinese Aircraft crash is reported by a Vietnamese?? Why not by Chinese??

1) It just happened - as in the news broke within the hour to the best of my knowledge. I'm sure a Chinese person would have posted it. But...

2) BoQ77 scours the internet for "bad news" from China. That's literally all he does. I think he's paid 2 dong or 1 fish head by the Vietnamese government for every China related article he posts.

He thinks that by trolling PDF, he's winning glorious victories for Vietnam. Because Vietnam can't actually stop China from building artificial islands and airstrips in Vietnamese claimed waters. So trolling PDF is the next best thing for impotent Viet nationalists. :pop:

I heard, in Singapore, only Chinese ethnic can be the fighter pilots. Is that true?

actually, I wonder whether it's J-11 or not.
No,It's FBC-1(J-7),a kind of multirole combat aircraft. You can google it to know more.

And another detail of this accident, which western news will chose to "miss" it,is two pilots died because of they don't want to land in nearby factories and villages in case of causing much more casualties,so that lost the time to save themselves.
