Thanks for tagging me. So ofcourse they are right. They actually meant that Modi is a crying baby who keeps on weiling and crying wolf on each and every event, may it be SAARC Summit or BRICS conference. But problem is that did it achieve its objective?
Hi , i see a well thought out reply but then few points i would like to raise myself.
What exactly was the Indian motive ? How do you gauze that , its an assumption that India wanted to include Pakistan 's name in the terrorism declaration.
Indian diplomatic effort and their expectations and the independent newspaper articles may not have a common realistic target set.
Whether it was a success or a failure can be deemed on how much you have achieved , there can never be a 100 or a 0 for anything its always something in between.
Secondly the BIMSTEC as pointed out in the original report was a masterstroke , you cannot deny that which China acknowledged by including the SAARC forum to solve differences in their official statement.
Thirdly do you think its just one conference/ world forum that India is looking into ? its a work in progress , it will have success and failures as i said no absolutes.
Fourthly i find it very funny to see that most members here are very happy trying to portray India's failure , it would rather be helpful if Pakistan or its diplomatic effort had any direct say on the outcome. Pakistan is being reduced to a point where they are dependent on either India goofing it up or hoping that China comes to their aid.But understand that any country including China will only help you to a limit the only way to help oneself is your own self.
Another fallacy is Russian effort , suddenly Pakistanis started calling Russia their ally and they are somewhat against Indian effort an ally of yours who just leased a nuclear sub to your biggest enemy , better we have no such allies.
Its a game of chess , you don't kill the king in one shot you lay it tactfully to reduce your powers where your king is left exposed and vulnerable.
I remember the cricket matches of the 90's : India lost , sad enough but Pakistan loss makes are more happy - We have moved ahead of this mindset long back but i see Pakistan is still caged.
