Chinese Forign Minister : China Stands by India

.
Ahh... the border settlement which has eluded us for so long. To put some perspective on past border disputes we have settled thus far:

In the 1960s
Myanmar (October 1960),
Nepal (October 1961),
North Korea (October 1962),
Mongolia (December 1962),
Pakistan (March 1963),
and Afghanistan (November 1963).

In the 1990s
Russia (In May of 1991 China and the Soviet Union signed the Sino-Soviet Eastern Boundary Agreement; in September of 1994 China and Russia signed the Sino-Russian Western Boundary Agreement),
Lao PDR (October 1991),
Kazakhstan (April 1994),
Kyrgyzstan (July 1996),
Tajikistan (August 1999),
and Vietnam (December 1999)

So, can we add India to the list? I certainly hope so.

That very true, and that's the reason we are moving away from the USD, and moving away from US treasury bonds into much better investments.

making too many enemies is not what your govt wants, it has understood that need in current circumstances.

well .. you can do that to a certain extent, but you still would need large reserves as your currency is pegged to dollar. To maintain a buffer and to keep US under pressure

It's not really pegged, we call it a "managed floating exchange rate", in which the currency is allowed to move within a narrowly defined "band of values" on a day-to-day basis.

Buying US treasury bonds doesn't keep the US under pressure, it just finances their excessive and uncontrollable spending, and thus makes it unlikely they will ever even be able to pay us back.

The border solution with Tajikistan a failed one to China in which we gave up 20,000 sqkms and I hope no more land we lose as you know what a vast land of us now occupied by our only enemy India.

The value of Yuan was pegged to USD in 1994 and from there on MANAGED with a narrow band. The reason China holds us bond is to buffer itself. As if and when china would unpeg its currency the estimation of devalue ranges from 5% to 55% to the dollar. Since china doesn't allow Yuan to trade in global market its value is difficult to assume.
