Chinese extemely angry about what happened to engineers.

The Zohr field certainly helps fund these projects, but it's not the be-all-and-end-all. It hardly turns Egypt into a giant Qatar.

Afghanistan has a trillion dollars' worth of minerals; they haven't done anyone any good, least of all Afghans.

You say "dictator" like it's a bad word. I have enough contempt for democracy in the West, so you can imagine what I think of a democracy of illiterate peasants and religious nutjobs. "Dictatorship" saved Egypt and it's the only hope Pakistan has of climbing out of the pit it's in.

As I've made clear, I hold the word "elected" in the same regard I hold a used wipe. The only measure of a government's legitimacy is the results it delivers for its people.

As for the Brotherhood specifically, it's true that they've been historically cautious about signing their names onto terrorist attacks. They're more like a terrorism prep school; you do your undergraduate work there and then move on to graduate programs in organizations like al-Qaeda, ISIS, et al.

Nice to see the clarity of your thoughts on this. The brotherhood would've been the first step of a descent into the dark ages for Egypt.

Look what Morsi's chief backer and fellow ideologue, Erdogan, has reaped for his own country. From zero problems with neighbours to problems with almost everyone. Ultimately, (and predictably) reneging spectacularly on his pan Islamic vision, as seen by recent moves with Israel and Afghanistan.

OT Pakistan has the massive problem of a radicalised society - and no institution is immune. The funders for these attacks could be anyone, but the fact remains, it is easy to find some zombie willing to kill his countrymen in Pak.

Imagine trying to find an Indian RSS extremist to bomb a bus. It wouldn't happen, even their nutters value their own lives. In Pakistan, there is an endless supply of death-loving drones whose minders are so easily bought.

An attack on a bus in northern Pakistan last month that killed 10 Chinese labourers and three Pakistanis was a suicide attack carried out by a branch of the Pakistani Taliban, Pakistan’s foreign minister says, placing the blame for the bombing on the Indian and Afghan intelligence services.
Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi was speaking at a news conference in the capital Islamabad on Thursday, and was flanked by Javed Iqbal, a senior counterterrorism police officer, and Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri, the foreign ministry’s spokesman.
“The explosive [improvised explosive device]-laden vehicle, the driver who did this entire attack, we found a thumb from the site and we found a finger and we found [other] body parts,” said Qureshi. “The suicide bomber, they were obviously his.”

why does India and Indians live so rent-free in your head? if you start any Afghan Taliban supporter Indian, you'll find out 30-50%+ of Pakistan population is Indian. maybe you simply don't have exposure to actual Pakistanis, living in England all these days. visit back someday and talk to the common folks on the road and you'll find out
have not been there for nearly 26 years. if it has become as bad as what PDF makes it look, don't ever want to go back there, don't have the strength to bear it.
