Chinese extemely angry about what happened to engineers.

When I see the state of affairs w.r.t internal security situation it reminds me of the following quote:

“Most of us read the writing on the wall; we just assume it’s addressed to someone else:mad:

- Ivern Ball

I'm not. We're making a rod for our own back. We tried colonialism before - it's shiny on the outside and shitty on the inside.

What we need is pressure from the Chinese on the govt to take action.

If it weren't for the constant American "do more" we'd have still been trying to negotiate with the TTP. Remember Musharraf and his ridiculous idea of giving Swat over to the TNSM?

This sort of joke is what passes for leadership in our country. This man was the Head of our armed forces!

He lost every political battle he ever fought. He lost to the judges, he handed power back to the Chor as part of NRO just to extend his meaningless stay on the hotseat. You can only hope he's an exception not the rule.

Amen to that. I hope the Chinese say that enough is enough.

These generals would give an arm and a leg to visit US military to military programs. I fully agree with your point of view. It all started with Liaquat Ali Khan. Had this man not chosen the US side back then we wouldn't be in this mess.

plz add civil beaurucrats and former heads of the state to the list as well.

This below is the mindset that will be behind the incident in Dasu. This type of thinking makes Uighur or any other Muslim issue a matter for people inside Pakistan and depending on their faith some will pick up a gun for the sake "brothers in Islam".

@Oublious @Attila the Hun

Stop diverting from the facts, peddling in wrong direction and not to to forget that you brought Uighurs into this. You are clearly misleading and inciting divide just because there's a Uighurs issue or not. At the same time, you are maligning Islamic values and so undermining Pakistanis as well. Here's an advice for you that, let the concern people investigate and see where it's coming from. You are merely trying to open a worm can and making it more worse for us.

.
The people who did this will be scumbag Islamic radicals with delusions of ummah and love of their Uighur brothers. Nothing to do with India. That is just a excuse for most PDF religious addled members who can't accept if truth hit them in the head. If it was India - first they don't have the balls to do this the Chinese woulds go stir crazy and haver India hiding in fear under USA's skirt by now.

Unless people think the Chinese are too cowards and scared of Indians!

This is stupid post, no one cares about Uighur in Pakistan. All signs points towards some afghani suicide bomber backed by India/Afghanistan just like Eid Gul aka afghani refugee born in Pakistan in Lahore blast. Kohistan is backward region but not even single Kohistani has been found involved in terrorism so far.

.
There is one PDF Think Tank Analyst who starts numerous China hating and bashing threads every single day in PDF, if Pakistan has a handful of radicals like him who hate China to the core, Chinese citizens can never been safe working in Pakistan and CPEC could be eventually be ditched, China may look for alternative routes like the one through Myamar, just think about how hard now must be for the Chinese government to convince any Chinese engineers or workers to go to work in Pakistan, money is one thing, but what can be more valuable than your life.

He doesn't live in Pakistan and on other hand, a PDF TT posts threads based upon links doesn't mean there's something to support against china on the ground. You have issues with TT, fine but don't use such disagreements to prove terrorism like this. It's too lame and not funny.

1) Gun culture

May come in handy butchering herds of advancing high caste brahmin army .any how there's a natural cohesion among the pakistani federal units so there's no need to disarm the masses for keeping the federation intact like artificial union of india .

Mushrooming of Madrassahs and Mosques instead of schools

Lord Macaulay was not fond of using arabic jargons for an educational eatablishment so are his ideogical heirs. We still use word jamia/madrassa for univeristy. And masajid are here to stay.

2) Illiteracy

Look who's talking about being educated .A common pakistani citizen is well informed about the socio political realities surrounding him and they are less susceptible to be subjected to state propaganda apparatus . Looking at what high caste brahmin propganda machine has done to indians i think we did pretty well with education and common sense

This is the exact attitude I'm talking about in my previous post🤦‍♂️.

I don't believe in caste but if you're talking about it, I'm not even a Brahmin lol.

You don't have enough choice being an indian .either serve or be served.

This is the exact attitude I'm talking about in my previous post🤦‍♂️.

We love our liberties and guns are an effective tool to ensure no rss nazi comes trampling on them . As for the showing concern well it has always been between the giants of civilisation so you being an indian just sit at the side of the road and watch them sort it out. Only after the outcome you get to choose beween a madrassa or university. Btw how many years it has been since you abandoned farsi in favour of englizia?

We all know what happened few days ago with the death of the Chinese engineers. It is now clear that this was a terrorist attack despite Pakistan government's effort to pass this off as 'accident'. Chinese tend not to say much in public but of interest is the the outburst by the editor chief of Global Times Hu Xikin which is a state owned media thus reflects Biejings thoughts.

He expresses his shock and then says " If Pakistan’s capability is not enough, with its consent, China’s missiles and special forces can be put into action.".

This is pretty harsh language and tells us how China is feeling about this incident.

That editor also seems to be ignorant of highest order or his over nationalism can cost a good friendship when he says about capability. Pakistan alone fought terrorism for all these years and defeated them as compare to all NATO were supposedly doing in Afghanistan. Since we are close to flush them all out and just a deliberate and irresponsible Afghanistan exit is happening; the threat is still there for a window for them. But is that mean Pakistan hadn't down enough or someone is brushing them aside?

Chinese officials do know the issues and facts and dealing with situation differently. We don't need an editor to explain Pakistan China cooperation.

However, Pakistan China relations are not threatened that easily. Secondly, we do have people like Hamid Mir, Absar Alam, Mobashir Zaidi and many others from journalism that uses ultra nationalist language to press their own agenda sometimes.
There's a clear difference.

  • India doesn't have so many radicalized people as Pakistan.
  • It's really difficult to acquire arms such as guns, pistols, bombs, etc in India. One has acquire a license to buy a gun. We strictly ensure that arms are not easily available to the common citizens. You know there is a problem when you see little children with guns in Pakistan.
  • Pakistan has madrassahs and mosques which apart from preaching religion, also interfere in politics. Different sects such as Sunnis, Shias, etc fight among themselves. In India, we don't have any of this stuff. Hindus anyway ever had mandirs as places where a Guru will give political speeches everyday to instigate people. Even among the Muslims in India, we don't see that. There's a lot of radicalization in mosques and madrassahs in Pakistan. It's very easy to identify when I read some of the comments of the people on this forum.
  • The Mullahs in Pakistan have a lot of political clout and can bring the government to a standstill on religious matters eg: the recent Charlie Hebdo issue from France.
  • The Pakistani state turns a blind eye to all these things and instead sometimes tries to use these elements for their gains in Kashmir and Afghanistan.
  • Pakistan hasn't been able to seal off the Afghanistan border. They have also not been able to integrate communities in the border areas such as the Baloch and Pashtuns fully.

The three major reasons for the attacks in Pakistan are very easy to identify:

1) Gun culture
2) Illiteracy
3) Mushrooming of Madrassahs and Mosques instead of schools. Usage of madrassahs and mosques by various sectarian groups for their own benefit.
4) Hardline interpretation of religion.

The solution to stop all this mess is in the above points itself. And yet, I see Pakistanis blaming the Army, the government, etc but aren't able to identify the core problem.

People: you are reading about India on Mars in 2099.

Out of thread, you are.

Three Chinese among five captives kidnapped in Mali

Three Chinese nationals and two Mauritanians were kidnapped in southwest Mali on Saturday, the country’s armed forces said, in the latest attack in the war-torn Sahel state.

Armed men attacked a construction site 55 kilometres (34 miles) from the town of Kwala, making off with five pickup trucks and the hostages, Mali’s army said on social media.

The assailants also destroyed equipment including a crane and dump trucks belonging to Chinese construction firm Covec, and Mauritanian road-building company ATTM, according to the army.

A Malian army official, who requested anonymity, said the kidnap victims were working on road construction in the region. “The release of all the hostages is our priority,” he said.

Mauritania’s Al-Akhbar news agency reported that gunmen arrived on motorbikes to attack the construction site, burning equipment as well as fuel tanks before withdrawing with captives. The account could not be independently verified.

Mali has been struggling to contain an Islamist insurgency that first broke out in the north of the country in 2012 before spreading to the centre and neighbouring Burkina Faso and Niger.

Thousands of people have been killed and hundreds of thousands have fled their homes, while the economic impact on one of the world’s poorest countries has been devastating.

Abductions have been frequent, both of Malians and of foreigners.

French journalist Olivier Dubois was abducted in northern Mali on April 8, for example.

He said in a hostage video that the Group to Support Islam and Muslims (GSIM), the largest jihadist alliance in the Sahel, had kidnapped him.

Really, "clearly" a CIA + RAW plot ?

Why haven't the CIA and RAW been successful in carrying this sort of stuff out in China itself then ?

Why not just admit you have a home grown terrorist problem and they are the ones responsible for this attack ?

You been living under rock all these years?

This is how proxy wars work. Hitting China in China is pure act of war. Hitting China interest abroad, enemy nations like America and India can maintain plausible denial.

There is no homegrown problem, everything originates from Afghanistan as mentioned by DGISPR who clearly mentioned India.

.
Ur points are well put, but you have to realize Islam is the glue that holds Pakistan together. Moment you take Islam out of it then the house is gonna collapse. So self radicalization will happen.
same thing with india too.....take out the "hindu" factor, either there will a "balkanization of india" (or india will prosper by putting her efforts in right direction).
