very little verifiable details are available on the internal systems so I will gladly give you the benefit of the doubt.

As for more carriers, given the economic and security interests of china, it's expected. (just as India is working on more ACs, albeit slower, given resource constraints.)

The carriers currently operated by the IN lacks the modern defense systems, sensors, and the aircraft which will be carried on the ex Varyag.

I think Russia already start to test MIG29k on Vikramaditaya

The J-15s have been tested on a land based ski jump already. The arrestors are being installed on the ex Varyag, so tests should not be far off.
