one thing I really like about China and Pakistan must learn it what ever you need start revers engineering we have F16 since 1986-87 but we didn't make it japan has made F2.

Simple and logical reason is for reverse engineering, you need R&D which needs investments.

A country whos Economy is dependent of Aids from outsiders cant invest in R&D.

Lately, India started R&D coz our economy supports it with all the dollors we got due to IT sector and other Exports.

Simple and logical reason is for reverse engineering, you need R&D which needs investments.

A country whos Economy is dependent of Aids from outsiders cant invest in R&D.

Lately, India started R&D coz our economy supports it with all the dollors we got due to IT sector and other Exports.

For that India need to promote Defence Engineering. all the cream of India want to go abroad because of the packages they get in Govt sector. If u really wanna grow, give the best package in this field and you will see the best brains in this country working for betterment of Indian Defence.

HAL does not use Russian read to assemble kits for Su30MKI
Even the engine is make in India. Only the first 10 were bought from Russia.

good to know about engine but Hal uses russian kits to make su30mki thats the trutht.
and when we have experience in making the engine then why indian are not able to use that experiance in kaveri engine and fixed the problems

Ideal future composition:

1X Carrier (~70000 to 80000 tons)
2X Air defence destroyers (~9000 tons)
3X ASW frigates (~4000 tons)
2X Fast replenishment ships (~20000 tons, capable of 25 knots)
2X Nuclear attack submarines

The idea is the destroyers will focus on air threats, while the ASW frigates and SSNs can deal with anything underwater. Each ship class should have a specialized role, since the Chinese navy is going to center itself around the carrier.
