If you keep insisting on being different from all your neighbors, then you will get swallowed up India (divided and conquered). If you don't want to get swallowed up by India, you need to accept Burmese influence while keeping relations with China to avoid completely being swallowed up by Burma. If you folks bear a historical grudge against Burma, why should they help you? You cannot expect Christian countries to come to your rescue either. And the people of manipur scorn hindu festivities because it reminisces the occupiers from mainland . Somehow parts of Vaishnavism was impressed on Manipur through force by a king under influence of a bengalee Brahmin, but the people only took some parts of it like how japanese adopted parts of buddhism along with their shinto tradition.Now people are dropping hinduism altogether.

Religion is not so important in North East . You're not getting the point. If you read Maitham's post in the beginning, he said that they are being oppressed and the Indian Government wanted to pass some kind of bill to allow mainland Indians to flood into the region. They are seeking to be an independent country.
Most people in that region look nothing like Chinese. Yes , we only need Zangnan back. For other peoples live in that region, let them decide their own fate.

Actually our primary job is to stop those Tibetan exiles from coming back, which is becoming an increasing trend due to the great prosperity China has recently achieved, we never accept they are Chinese and most of them now can have Indian passports, so by logic and laws, they are no doubt Indians, please help us to stop them from entering China through Tibet.
