China’s Pentagon” in Shandong Province

Seemingly coming out of nowhere, a pentagram-shaped building in Binzhou, east China’s Shandong Province has suddenly entered the public spotlight.

Built in 2005, the Binzhou International Exhibition Center bears a certain resemblance to the Pentagon in the US, and was hailed by some as “China’s Pentagon”. In reality, the building looks more like a star rather than the American government building.
