China's New Missile Could Destroy Satellites, US Concerned

Lol. It's a pretty standard reaction by the U.S., since they govern the world *sarcasm*. While space weaponization is not a good idea, the fact that China is developing technologies should bother anyone unless they are actually used. Besides, they are basing their fear and concern on a hunch.

ASAT missile is almost the same as BMD missile. So, if the American accuse China, why they develop BMD themselves?

Bmd missiles can't target satellites that are high up in the upper atmosphere.. And they need extra equipment to be able to target satellites.. But yes, they can do so... With asat missiles however the primary objective is satellites in the upper atmosphere which is where most of them orbit.. At any rate, America has no right to stop them from making them... Its just that they are a little frightened.. Or something to that effect.. Being able to target satellites is a huge plus to gain the upper hand.. While the US is rightly concerned, they can't tell the Chinese to stop pursuing the development.

US also concern that guns can kill people.

This type of headline is just mindless.

US being concerned about something, and I mean actually concern, usually leads to violence unfortunately.

Yes, the same system for low-orbit ASAT can be used for sub-orbital targets like ICBM. All midcourse ABM systems have inherent ASAT capabilities, typically the only difference between the two systems is the software and control algorithms used to detect, track, and home in on a LEO satellite as compared to a warhead.

The DN-2 and DN-3 are direct ascent ASAT weapons purposely designed and built for higher orbits, e.g. MEO, HEO, closing upto GEO (35,786 km).

Other than direct ascent ASAT weapons, China is probably developing co-orbital ASAT systems.

Specifications of DN-2, DN-3 please.
