Anyway...Helping one's countrymen on home soil is completely different than being part of an expeditionary force being on permanent standby status readied to be sent outside the borders to fight for a cause that may have dubious political and ideological justifications.

While I am not in the military myself, both of my grandparents are veterans from the liberation war. My grandpa from dad's side is also a Korean war veteran who operates artillery in the 39th army. I honestly don't know what they teach soldiers in US, but in China, we teach them obey commands, put the good of the whole above self and put the people above everyone else, fighting and dying for corporate greed and infringing other nation's internal affair is never on the agenda.

You been in the army, are there no odd recruit in US army that can't handle it? Are there no cowards in US army? I'm sure there are elements of each in every army.

Chinese army is no different, but to say that because China is an only Child society these kids are bred with more care and thus cannot fight is not a correct way of looking at things.

Americans are fighting for American supremacy, while Chinese are also fighting for Chinese supremacy.

Iraqis didn't surrender to the Iranians so much, but why to the Americans? Iraqis knew they would stand no chance of victory. China is different. regardless of your view on current Chinese military strength, you won't object to my saying Chinese soldiers believe that China has every chance of victory and deserve our place in the sun.

The overall morale of PLA is good, because China is doing good. Americans are not bred in a tough manner, but in times of need Americans didn't hide, they stormed beaches and took cities. Is that the sibling effect?

I've seen some comments from US soldiers on youtube placing messages like China is one country they don't want to mess with. If the PLA consists of whimps then what's the US Army? I dare say we probably have the strongest Army with our kind of manpower.

No, we are not the US who has military bases around the world and dropping bombs from time to time against weak nations as these past decades have already shown us. But VN could conquer the world as your brothers were trying so hard to make us believe Vietcongs gave us, the Japs, French and Americans a bloody nose lol I'm surprised VN is not the sole super power on this planet.

No military is perfect and its members inevitably reflects the psychological make ups of the general population from which they came. If you have a problem with the idea that being a pampered child because he is the only child in the family as a factor in the many issues the PLA is seeing, take it up with Xuexi Shibao, not us.

Which one is a Chinese fighter stealth jet? The only one in service around the world is the F-22 raptor. Period! Even the F-35 is far from operatioalization!
