Yet we had two non-Muslim chief justices, a non Muslim general, and members in parliament and senate. Despite being an Islamic republic. And despite the fact that 98% of the population is Muslim. That is the model which we chose, and we have the right to.

I have not mentioned many other top key posts occupied by Muslims in India I just gave you few posts which effects our national security ,you are not giving me posts which has national security in their hands after your constitution was changed in 74.

In an Islamic state, key posts cannot be given to non-Muslims...unless there is some extreme emergency of some sort.
We don't have to appease anyone or conform to Western standards, we have our own way of life. You don't like it, fine, it's your opinion. Our rulers cannot be non-Muslims. period.

We don't have to appease anyone or conform to Western standards, we have our own way of life. You don't like it, fine, it's your opinion. Our rulers cannot be non-Muslims. period.

Depends on your point of view. Goodness of a system is relative, to some a system may be good to others, it is poor. For me, a person living in 98% Muslim majority country, it sounds good. To a non-Muslim who wants to be army chief, it might not sound good.
