. .
To summarize, each bilateral relation can be described in four parts, and the hierarchy of adjectives goes:

all-weather > all-round > comprehensive > mutually beneficial > important
strategic > friendly
partnership > relationship
of coordination > of cooperation/cooperative

The highest theoretical level of relation is "all-weather strategic partnership of coordination", but such a relation does not exist yet - the closest being our relations with Russia and Pakistan.

. . . .
The Chinese government has played the diplomatic game well.

Now no one can afford to turn their back on us.

I think only a few tiny African countries still officially recognize the ROC, and that is mostly due to bribes. And Chen Shui-bian swallowed most of the money meant for bribing other countries himself, what a 白痴。

I have to admit, I can't make heads or tails of this. It would be nice if the descriptors were more precise (i.e. "strategic economic cooperation" vs. "strategic political cooperation,"). Even after looking at the chart and Raphael's translation several times, I still can't figure out which nation stands where in the rank of closeness to China.

Also, where are the rest of the countries? Turkey, Iran, Israel especially come to mind, given the defense and economic ties that those three have, or have had. And how about Colombia, which is rapidly increasing in importance in South America? Also interesting is the explicit omission of the Philippines, Brunei, and Singapore, but not the other ASEAN countries. But Fiji is included?

This is just too confusing.
Initially it says there are only 4 main categories but in the chart there are 16 different categories many countries fall under.
Which one is it?

All the countries should fall into one of the 4 main categories.

What does each one mean and what does it cover?
Need to be more detailed and show more clarity.

Need to downgrade the Vietnam. They don't deserve that status.
You are late. We already downgraded china to the group of least important nations, along with sudan and chad.

I can't either. I was just poking fun of how bureaucratic and insincere these names sound :p:.

I am not sure how accurate this is but it comes down to

All-weather>All-round>different level of Comprehensive > different level of Strategic > different level of Cooperative > different level of partnership

So it would be

Pakistan>Germany>Russia>Indochina>EU bloc > ASEAN and African Union > special relation country

USA is a special relationship that we propose.

pho eaters deserves to be removed from the chart
It surprises me the pho eaters are in the chart, especially at a very good status.
