I never said that Bangladesh would become desert. Even if there are no rivers in Bangladesh, rainfall is enough to take care of water needs. Though you may sink under Bay of Bengal as silt brought by Ganga-Brahmaputra system compensates for rising Sea level in Bangladesh.

When these river issues are finalized. And we know how much river/drainage water we have to manage. We will simply make dam belts on offshore areas.

These protests are for international audience. We don't give ratshit about what chinese think, since all their decisions are taken by CCP.

And India is not Philippines. We could harm China in multiple ways.If shit hits the fan, you may find that nuclear weapon capable states are springing up in your neighborhood like wild mushrooms. Also registered protest could serve as casus-belli for war, if we need to do so in future ( when China is weak ).

And you are forgetting that you have not even built a dam.India is just milking the notion of dam for political mileage.
