Sorry that looks kinda gross. It looks like a plate of something... with a wonderbread bun on top (what's the point of it?)

Is that a chao-mian burger? :woot: Does it come with fries?

They name it "Chinese burger" and the picture i shown looks way better than the actual one. And don't laugh at it, its a $6.99 dish that came with soup only.:yahoo:

Get Chinese Dragon to eat one and I'll never complain when he says he is hungry.

Let's stop this Chinese love fest for a while and discuss something actually on topic.

As someone who grew up in Beijing, I'm not impressed with the recent skyscrapers boom. I'm proud of the fact Beijing was pretty much a horizontal city without high-rise buildings, and think further vertical development will only ruin Beijing's skyline.

I'd say let Shanghai to chase New York, Beijing should stay the way it is or at least look more into London or other European cities for models of development.

Why can't we have skyscrapers side by side with the Forbidden city and the old hutongs? Why not go for a contrast of the old and the new? Beijing is, after all, China's capital.

Here you can see skyscrapers side by side with old buildings in downtown Tianjin.

Because it will completely ruin the skyline? I don't want to walk in some old districts in Beijing and have a whole bunch of skyscrapers towering over me.

I grew up in central Beijing, 15 mins walk from Tiananmen. It had that sense of openness, you can look up and see the whole sky extending every direction.

Beijing should keep its own characteristics, and it's not just Beijing. Xian'an, Hangzhou, Suzhou, etc should all say no to skyscrapers.

Ignore Beijing now,lookTianjin again...

I agree . Beijing would lose it's charm if too may modern sky-scrapers are built along side the historical structures. That is the reason why there are no sky scrapers around the Capitol Hill or Eiffel Tower. But again, it might work if the new city is separated from the old.

I prefer this picture,I live there&studied in the school at the bottom of this pic.

Look the atmosphere. At the center of this image is Montparnasse Tower,Paris.I have been to Paris,Montparnasse Tower is not far from Eiffel Tower. This ominous stick is a blight on the landscape of the world's most stunning city.

Istanbul is also a good example and why it is a tourism hot spot.

It is good to keep the old intact. For attraction. More importantly for history/culture

Istanbu is a real beauty and GRAND THEFT AUTO series should consider the game story to happen there.
There are still some differences bewteen real beauty and look-like beauty.
