MANILA — Philippine Army (PA) chief, Lt. Gen. Noel A Coballes, has feted the Army shooting team for winning the Asian Armies Skills at Arms Meet which was held at Puckapunyal, Victoria, Australia last May 17.

The 14-man shooting team was awarded championship trophies and medals for the two most coveted awards during the two-week competition.

The team won five gold, two silver and three bronze medals.

The PA shooting team was also awarded the Commander-in-Chief Cup, Australian Armed Forces for emerging as overall champion.

The individual championship match was won by Staff Sergeant Armando G. Mejia. He was seated on the throne of the Champion Shot, an honor bestowed to the best shooter of the meet.

These two awards earned for the PA the emulation and respect of the international shooting community.

Coballes said the Army Shooting Team brought forth extreme honor to the Army and to the country.

“We shall continue supporting them as they strive to be the best not only in Asia but worldwide,” he added.

So does this mean China has better snipers than Philippines?

Why do you have to cheat and say the winner is China whereas the winner is Indonesia followed by Australia followed by Philippines.

Where did we cheat? The OP stated:

Champion Sniper team International winners from China (l-r) CAPT W Zhang and CPL DL Chen with Nation ...

Is there something wrong with your eyes?

you have to get an invitation for participating in the competitions

I was referring to previous events

Unfortunately, I cannot post links. But you can search Google with "Results for Match 200: Sniper Assessment" which will get you the link to the AASAM 2013 result.

There are many categories. Different countries have won different categories.

That's what I said, title is misleading. China might have won in one of the category, what about others? without other results, how can one be declared "winner"? First of all, is it a competition in the first place? Just because China's scores are highest among foreign contestants, it can be called winner.

It certainly looks like a competition. And the "Sniper Pairs Championship" is won by the Chinese among the foreigners. So if it is championship match then it is a competition and you are certainly a "winner" if you got the highest score which China did.

Also notice that the snipeer pairs championship consists of the total of many matches. So even if Chinese did not win individual matches they amassed the best overall score and so deserve the championship.
