Oh the India pakistan stand off, I guess a lot has been said about it, the US brokered a halt or else it would have been nasty like the previous four times but this time round there wouldn't have been a ceasefire easily.
and, when have we backed away from the chinese or their warnings like when they warned us in 71, ideally there shouldn't be a war but if they attack us then there will be consequences.

It is not that simple equation.... It will cause more troubles to china from USA..... Who the hell are Chinese to warn India against exploring Vietnamese blocks, China is a signatory of UNCLOS and china should obey the international law.
Are you justifying Chinese or blindly following them??

Ask your Chinese friends to not to act stupid and obey international maritime laws or else get out of international law agreement and then try to bully with those warnings.

Looks like India and Russia might have found oil in those blocks which is good for Vietnam-India-Russia, This alliance itself will counter China in future.
