China wants military base in Pakistan

Good Chinese should not only have navy but also airforce and land army at least on 5 different places ranging from lahore to peshawar. This gone be cool.

We certainly have the capability of doing so as we have the largest population and land forces in the world. The matter that we respect country's sovereignty and do not support the meddling of a country's internal affair stops us from doing so.

China should get a base in Pakistan.

If the US can have it and CIA chaps swarming all over, then why not China?

And the Chinese have a large Army and so they can be all over the world in bases and still not get affected!

Doesn't have CIA has spies all around Pakistan. I guess there are more spies of CIA in Pakistan Govt. than ISI's. But here matter is of stability. Pakistan needs stability at any cost.

nope never we cant and we should not bring more foreign troops on our land it will bring more mess and take pakistan more deep in world game . today we are suffering because we put our nose in every world game .just try to send back CIA from pakistan and secure pakistan from them .we cant be next war zone of super powers like afghanistan .

its for sure US is not going to let it happen. At least in the near future.
if anybody forces to make it happen (let it be pakistan or china) Pakistan will have the same fate of Afganistan.
US already has a ready setup & dont need grate efforts to rais a Freedom fighters army.

CIA certainly do have a degree of influence in Pakistan. They are operating there and the U.S. has refused to fully cooperate with Pakistan despite operating in its land. The lack of cooperation is a concern to both China and Pakistan. However, by bringing in foreign troops from China and having a base established there may only complicate problems more for pakistan. It's doesn't guarantee stability. It is Pakistan's duty to stabilize themselves from within. We have no rights to meddle with its internal affairs. We, however, have the intention to help pakistan grow and become stronger.

Having said that, I am sure the Chinese government are willing to help Pakistan in anyway they can to help it find freedom from claws of the evil American eagle.

Better way to help Pakistan is to help them develop better relationship with Russia and other SCO members and formally inviting both Pakistan and Iran into the defensive bloc.

Isn't that the true question afterall?

If there is some form of nationalism (nationalism meaning is different in Pakistan depending upon whom you are dealing with), Nationalism in Pakistan is just an ideology not unity. Where is the Unity (based on Nationalism)? Infact Mr. Muse, Pakistan signed an agreement to Bush Administration regarding the Osama raid 10 years ago. In its simplification, it stated, that If US finds a possible Osama hide out, Pakistan will give legal rights for US to do surgical strike, and in return Musharraf (the current President of Pakistan) is given the Right to scream "that American has broken the laws of Sovereign state," for his constituents...

I think it will be great that Pakistan and Sri Lanka provide logistic support for China's military and commercial ships since both countries are on important water routes towards mid east. It will be a great help for China in case China need protect its life line.

However, military base is just too sensitive. It will bring more negativity and suspicion against China.
