I do a summary. China invited Japan PM to attend VJ day parade but Abe is likely to refuse.

中国「戦勝」式典、安倍首相を招待…欠席へ : 政治 : 読売新聞(YOMIURI ONLINE)

Abe will most likely attend. The Emperor will simply order him to attend. And Abe, as one who comes from Samurai background, will obey his Imperial Majesty.

He should.

And Nihonjin since you are here for long, you know the Chinese members and their complaints, (though they are absolutely not the representative of the General Chinese population).

What do you think can be done to get better Japan-China relations?

Yeah..sounds like you've already view Chinese member's claim as not credible since you just selectively ignored our thoughts and looked for "better" solutions to Japanese. In your mind, China doesn't deserve any chance to speak for herself, right?

My suggestion: China to confiscate Diaoyu Island and Okinawa from Japan.

it's easy. Japan should dumb US and become China's formal allies, and suddenly, the mainland will forget about Diaoyu / Senkaku and will always praise Japanese Emperor and Abe. Plus will support the Japanese militarization.

Umm.. You have comprehension issues. (Which I don't blame you for, because English isn't your first language, or really institutionalized)

No where did I comment on the credibility of the claims and issues. (Rather I personally think Diaoyu should belong to China). I told Nihonjin to devise a solution keeping in mind the complaints of Chinese members here. What I also added in the brackets was, that Chinese members here DONOT represent General Chinese attitudes. This means that the Chinese members present in PDF are a biased sample of the general Chinese pool.

Parties send promising signals of stronger high-level interactions

China's top political adviser Yu Zhengsheng told visiting Japanese lawmakers on Monday that the China-Japan relationship "is undergoing repairs and improvement", sending a promising signal for stronger high-level interactions between the ruling parties of both sides.

Yu made the remarks in a meeting with a delegation of Japan's ruling coalition - the Liberal Democratic Party and the junior partner New Komeito party.

One of the goals of the trip is to resume a Japan-China liaison mechanism between ruling parties, Japan's Kyodo News agency said last week. The mechanism reportedly stalled in 2009 after the two parties lost the lower house election. The coalition regained power in2013.

The Communist Party of China is ready to "further enforce high-level interactions and institutionalized exchanges" with Japan's ruling coalition parties, Yu said.

Sadakazu Tanigaki, secretary-general of the Liberal Democratic Party and Yoshihisa Inoue, secretary-general of the coalition's junior partner New Komeito party, led a three-day trip to Beijing starting on Monday.

The visit "is of great significance" as the relationship improves, Yu said, hailing theimportant role of the interaction among the ruling parties in improving and developing ties.

Historical and territorial issues sunk the relationship to a record low in 2012.

After the LDP regained control over the parliament in 2013, the two governments took their first step to ease the fray last November by reaching a four-point principled agreement that aims to repair the ties.

President Xi Jinping met briefly with visiting Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Beijing in November.

Tanigaki and Inoue told Yu that the meeting between the top leaders last year "laid a foundation" for the improvement of the ties.

Japan expects to "resume and develop the institutionalized interactions between the rulingparties of both countries and boost the development of Japan-China ties", they said.

Tokyo is urged to "work along with China, fully honor the four-point principled agreementreached by the two governments, and cement a political basis for the China-Japanrelationship," Yu said.

Liang Yunxiang, a professor of Japan studies at Peking University, said that as the 70thanniversary of the end of World War II nears, Japan is not expected to undermine thepolitical mutual trust because of its perception over wartime history.

China and Japan are expected to expand their shared interest to contain the strains intheir relationship, and "both of them should bear in mind that their relationship matters tothe interests of the whole region", Liang said.

It's not complaints. Japan is like a hot potato to both China and America. Japan is too weak, it will be controlled by America forever; Japan is too strong, it will threaten China security. Japan is too weak, it can't help America to contain China; Japan is too strong, America can't handle it. For the time being, America can use Japan more, because America is stronger than China. Please understand East Asia this way, my advice.

You don't know Japanese, but we do. Japanese is a kind of human who is polite and smile in front of you and shoot you in the back. In Japanese dictionary, there is no word called "declaration of war", Japanese started all wars in last century by stealthy. In 1894 Sino-Japan war, Japanese even hung British navy flag, till they got close to Chinese navy, they changed into Japanese navy flag and opened fire. lol. This is Japanese.

Don't trust Japanese.

You should really learn some Chinese and come to our forums, haha, my attitude can't be more mild compared to those.

Japan is more eager than China to repair the relations.
