China – US Naval Conflict

China need more nuke subs so that China can patrol close to US West Coast. Fight fire with fire if USA wants to patrol navy ships close to China's coasts, China should also do the same! Go for 25+ nuke subs by 2030.

Chinese Navy cannot stand for more than 15 days in front of US Navy. US will block Chinese oil supply from the Persian Gulf and China will have to surrender. Like India blocked the Karachi Port of Pakistan.
Chinese Navy is tiny compared to US Navy.

If Chinese navy is "tiny" then the Indian Navy is MICROSCOPIC.

I think each permanent member of the security council has up to 3 years worth of national oil reserves. I can't voucher for non-permanent members though. I guess they would surrender within 15 days.

For ur kind information, even the super power maintains the `strategic reserves` for 90 days or at most 180 days.
Whatever, China still can not match US yet. May be a decade later.

We were microscopic but now we r becoming near `tiny`now.
With 6 scorpene submarines from France ( with AIP system ). with another 6 to follow.
With 2 Aircraft Carriers
With unknown no. of other Submarines.

Lol, a bit confused about where your loyalties lie there mate? I see your sporting the American and Chinese flags...

Oh btw its China trying to join the big-boys club (US and Russia). Good luck with that!

Ask American policy thinkers who America's biggest rival/competitor is now and for the next 100 years. Then ask Russia who its most valuable strategic partner is. (hint it doesn't start with an I )

Meanwhile, India is still obsessed by and powerless against a country with 1/8 of its GDP, 1/6 of its population.

China – US Naval Conflict

The United States has decided to deploy the destroyer USS Chung-Hoon to the South China Sea to provide armed escort for United States intelligence ships. It is interesting to see how China plans to react.
United States Navy destroyer USS Chung-Hoon on the way to South China Sea.

How China Navy will react?

Lots of complaining and whining but nothing else. Its not like they own all of the sea. The Chinese come to Cuba , the US will do the same complaining and whining but nothing about it. why should anyone... all gamesmanship.

China sure does have resolve, which India lacks.

Lets give credit where it is due.

although I have a fundamental cautious approach against china, but not disdain. I do believe china is brilliant in its executing it's strategies economically. I may not agree with its tactics - but their ruling party is simply brilliant, hands down, no question about it- in implementing its course and negotiating economic deals.

No need to troll and insult India, please. Oh great premier ! just kidding, yanking your chain..:P

If the US Navy attacks China, China would cut trade with the US and its Iranian allies will stop all fuel exports to the US. That would shut down the US within three weeks.

China would also have an advantage of the DF-21D anti-ship ballistic missile. In short, no carrier battle group can survive (1) without fuel and (2) in presence of un-interceptable anti-ship ballistic missiles.

The US does not buy the majority of our oil from the ME.

Not another DF-21 suckered...

And China doesn't transport its oil by ship, either. The US is in fact a major purchaser of Middle East. If the Middle East cuts all petroleum exports to the US, the US economy would be in a dangerous situation, even if the majority of the US oil is imported from somewhere else.

Hey, buddy, that's the reality. If the US is willing to start a naval conflicts, then the DF-21D will be used. :agree:

Major? What does that mean?

If? Perhaps in Mandarin or other dialects in China that 'if' equals to certainty. But not in English. China does not have the clout to convince Saudi Arabia and/or Iraq to stop export. Mexico's internal problems with the drug cartels to bother with China. Venezuela needs US dollars more than China could convince Chavez that China can make up for the lack thereof. Russia would love to have China knock down a notch or two in an armed conflict against the US and would sell Russian oil to US at discount. Whoever is China's allies, money will come before any perceived shared moralities, that means quid pro quo before they will agree NOT to sell to the US what they buy from others so they can resell those oil to the US. Can China militarily strong arm those countries enough so they will not resell oil to the US? Does the PLAN have enough ships to impose a naval blockade around the US to prevent foreign oil tankers from US docks?

The current reality is that the DF-21 is in development, not deployed. Yeahhh...You can prattle on about how secretive is China about weapons development but everyone will see that as nothing more than tap-dancing around the uncomfortable truth that you have nothing as far as the DF-21 goes. This has been debated and its claims have been sufficiently disputed here many times -- by me.
