China urges Pakistan to act against TIM militants: Report

china and russia are very concerned about their soft under bellies which seem to be islamic based separatist movements, even china who is a friend of pakistan values its stability more than partnership with pakistan which is the right thing to do.

unfortunately this seems to implicate pakistan via the lawless fata region, which is hard enough to govern at the best of times, what can pakistan do to effectively curtail this?

.
Not good, China should act like a global power and talk about all terrorist organisations, the LET, TTP, HUM, LEJ, the Afghan Taliban, the Haqqani's, Al Qaeda and others. Mr.Yang should have asked for action against all of them as well.

.
No, that is a US thing.

The Chinese actually engage with civility, follow decorum and apparently had parents that taught them manners, unlike most of the officials in the US Government, Military and Intelligence Establishment.

If you keep on taking Chinese money and don't take any actions against the terrorists for 10 years, then Chinese will also end up with unilateral strike just like US.

Chinese will forget to engage with civility, they'll forget to follow the decorum, they will forget their parents too - let alone the manners taught by parents.

I just wanna suggest that don't try the patience when it comes to terrorism.

The Turkestan movement has Links with Saudi Arabia so it's really no surprise, these guys in the picture likely in pakistan or central asia, the taliban also give protection to these guys. I'm pretty surprised other muslim countries like Malaysia and Indonesia have return Uighur terrorist right back to china .

Pan Turkism also threatens central asia russia should be wary about any turkish influence.

China is one country that. Can help Pakistan to do more.

Pakistan has all the tools to eradicate this disease however it's fears of India plays bigger, Not to mention Central asia has been fighting Islamic movements the Uzbek Islamic movement, Kazakhstan is also fighting islamic terror, tajikstan fought a civil war with islamic terror groups.

Saudi Arabia is the one that funds terror groups did you know the grouphas links with them and saudis provide aid, pakistan is the shelter where they can all go you can find uzbeks, arabs, tajiks, uighurs, chechens many terror groups inside pakistan.

Turkey isn't the homeland, and allowing and east turkestan will embolden the other islamist terror groups in central asia to overthrow the secular dictatorships which they won't win central asian dictators far more brutal.

AFAIK, they're Turkic not Turkish.

AFAIK, they're Turkic not Turkish.

And that makes them even more dangerous the sitution in xinjiang is pretty stable now, however Islamist groups there will only encourage other turkic islamist based terrorists in central asia to do the same this is why the TIM leaders have been getting killed if I'am correct a US drone strike killed their leader in pakistan.

.
There are so many foreigners in FATA and it's not easy distinguishing their identitites (the darn masks !!).
We get blamed for the complete inaction of their own home-countries in stopping the illegal flow of their citizens into Pakistan. How much can we do in this case. We are already stretched too thin.

.
China: Hey Pakistan ! Capture those TIM militants and give us. We'll make them disappear. But don 't worry! We still support JuD at the UN and will protect you from world's criticism for the rest of the holy warriors in pakistan

the link you posted is dead....

but it seems to mirror what has been said in this BBC report, which also explicitly mentions that

Pakistani intelligence services had been regularly sharing information about the Etim with their Chinese counterparts.

Last year, Pakistan handed over to China a handful of Uighur militants who were captured by the security forces in the tribal areas, he said.

Etim militants are among hundreds of Islamist fighters from all over the Central Asian region who are said to be hiding in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border region.

At least two top-ranking Etim leaders have been killed in the region over the last decade - one in a Pakistani military raid in 2003 and the other in a drone strike in 2010.

BBC News - China urges Pakistan to expel Uighur Islamic militants

these groups are of no value to Pakistan, they are liabilities....we know who is supporting them. It's been discussed in rich detail in this forum that Pakistan has been quite proactive in doing its part to solve this political issue. We went so far as to even send a delegation of Ulema/religious scholars to help mediate in the issue with representatives and Ulema of the Xianjiang province. The initiative worked and the riots of 2008 were slowly dying down.

Pakistan itself is frustrated by the fact that the border with Afghanistan is porous and therefore it's easy for anti-social elements to exploit the geography as well as the lack of govt. writ in certain rural, remote mountainous areas.

I'll be very frank here. the Uighurs have some genuine grievences but they can be solved politically. They dont have the right to be in Pakistan without valid documentation and visas. They dont have a right to engage in anti-state activity which harms Pakistan (and China's) interests.

the ISI as well as its counterparts in Beijing are not sleeping on this issue, they are cooperating quite closely on it
