They never mentioned, the water diversion created large number of green fertile land amidst desert, and fed n x10 millions in central asia.

Uzbek and Turkmen can still divert the water back to Aral sea and we will have it back. The outcome is n x 10 millions will die.

One major reason for greening of Hetao is Yellow river is diverted for agriculture turning vast desert into farm.

This is the reason yellow river no longer flood these days, but rather run dry.

It save millions millions of life. Yellow river is flood prone.

Nice to know it. But I read Gobi desert is expanding at 3600 Sq Km every year. I hope they can offset it by expanding green regions. Desert expansion is faster than greening.
