That design for the Type 076, at 60,000 tons is impressive. Considering that there will be easier and cheaper to produce. It will probably play a major PLAN Marine strategy for Taiwan.
The Type 042D came out in 2014; less than 9 years ago. If the Type 076 Is conventionally powered, which accounting to the CGI it appears to be, and is being produced at a relatively high enough rate of one every 2-3 years, once the need for approx 6 are met in 12-18 years, it’s possibly it will be offered for export in the late 2030s.
Also by which time the Type 093B with a dozen VLS tubes will be old technology (when the Type 095 with rim drive propulsion and other advances will be the mainstay of the PLAN SSN Fleet), and could be leased to Pakistan.
A lot of this will be available, it’s just up to Pakistan to get its economy right to be able to afford it if it decides it needs this equipment.
