China to deepen military cooperation with Bulgaria
China will strengthen its military cooperation with Bulgaria, a Chinese official said Friday.
Senior Colonel Zhang Ge, Chinese military attache in Bulgaria, made the statement at a press conference that presented a white paper titled "China's National Defense in 2010" issued two weeks ago by the Chinese government.
Responding to a question about China-Bulgaria military cooperation, Zhang said the two armies have maintained good relations and exchanges. Last year, three military delegations from China visited Bulgaria.
He said there were good intentions for additional cooperation and sharing good practices between the two armies.
On China's cooperation with NATO, Zhang said that China has been implementing a new security concept on establishing mutual trust and benefit, equality and partnership.
In recent years, China and NATO have established many contacts and developed cooperation at different levels. In the current world situation, both sides have kept their contacts and enhanced exchanges, which will be beneficial for global and regional stability, Zhang said.
The white paper mentioned that military ties between China and Europe continue to be strengthened, Zhang said.
