Well, that is impressive. Credit where due. But this factor by itself is not a reliable metric.

To give you some perspective, let us consider the EF-111 platform. Each EF-111 variant was equipped with two powerful engines (87 kN + 87 kN = 174 kN total). EF-111 was very impressive on paper.

However, American pilots admitted that they found EA-6B Prowler to be far more effective than EF-111 in dedicated EW roles. There was much difference in onboard power generation mechanisms.

EA-6B Prowler proved its mettle in Syrian air space as well. It was involved in NATO strikes on Syrian military assets in 2018. Russia opposed this mission but its defenses in the region were insufficient.

EA-6B Prowler is retired and replaced by EA-18G Growler. The latter is better than its predecessor in all aspects.

These jet fighters also have classified aspects to them. Therefore.
 
Once I was working on radar and EW, I can assure you China's EW capabilities are very high. The most important part of EW is what we call DRFM. China can make it. There are a few top institutions. The best is Nanjiang 14th bureau.

Yes, that's why China choose this one as their EW Fighter Platform (144kN*2 = 288kN in Total)

Agree with you my friend, indeed it's not an absolute factor to determine. But still, a very crucial indicator
 
Loose lips sink ships. Future wars are gonna be decided by who has the best EW.

The core of EW is DRFM. The digital part is easily implemented by FPGA (not easy actually). Then there is this RF Front end part. Not so easy to make wide band high power multimode.

I read in China media that China now has digital array radar. That means her digital part and RF part is really very very good now. Radar and EW is closely related. That means China will have very good DRFM.
