China to build 93,000-ton atomic-powered aircraft carrier

Do you know why you find it is difficult to build aircraft carrier? Because of your weak basic military industry.
china ship building industry are behind of india? and before the sail of Varyag, we didn't do something? Maybe this time you forget chinese reverse engineering that you always mock china by it!! chinese don't stop the preparation for carrier, and the article also said that it will completed in 2020, almost 10 years, It is not a long time, but base on the achivement before, We can complete all the prepartion for the carrier. I have read many report the achivement of military industry, don't see them as a individual, try to combine it!!! I know in your indian mind, No western support, No country can do it. Let is your mind, don't apply to China!!!

No industry but Designing is, that why all your weapons design are based on Copy of foreign weapons....Designing a AC is not kid joke,

Tradition is , China Buy Foreign Plans, subs etc and then try to copy the design from them to build their own. This is also what happening in AC case also

First attempt of building an AC is failed , then you now trying to show that it will be training AC , Helicopter AC etc etc. Let accept that you tried to build AC but didn't make it.

Wll somebody put light on how China was not able to convince the Russia for selling arresters for her AC.. How china can overcome this deficite? Are these Su33 have folding wings? Are the current engines sufficient for the AC? DO PLAN gonna use catapultor sky jump technique for launching aircraft?

Proper response from anybody would be appreciable.

Thanks in advance..

I think the myth of China not being able to build the arrester has already been debunked.

PLAN gonna use EMALS for its next 100000+ tons nuclear supercarrier AKA the Type 089.

no evidence that china ever asked for those arresters from russia, the russia are as usual painting the picture that china cant do anything without their help

How china can overcome this deficite?

there is no deficit, china has produced and installed its own arresters on the carrier

Are these Su33 have folding wings?

J-15, there are a modified version of the J-11B thus not a offspring of the SU-33 but a Offspring of the SU-27

Are the current engines sufficient for the AC?

yes, believed to be a veriant of the ws-10

DO PLAN gonna use catapultor sky jump technique for launching aircraft?

ski-jump obviously for the vayag, and probably ski-jump for the next carrier before moving to steam(more likely)/electromagnetic for the 3rd carrier

The steam catapult failed, but the EMALS succeeded, so the first carrier from the Jiangnan shipyard gonna use the ski-jump system, but the next one gonna be EMALS.

Failed? Failed to meet PLAN requirements?

China's steam catapult can only hurl a 30 tons aircraft, but it is not enough for the naval AEW aircraft.

But with the EMALS, it can hurl up to 50 tons or more, so the naval AEW aircraft is not a problem anymore.

the steam catapult was harder to make ? wow.

something doesn't sound right here.

The steam catapult and EMALS were a parallel development for China, once the EMALS was close to the point of success, they don't really care about the steam catapult anymore, so all the attention is on the EMALS.

Meanwhile the steam catapult and the EMALS aren't exactly the same technology.

perhaps it's like you say.

in anycase, the ability of china to build large ships was never in question. So build away... ;)

this one is too gonna sink at launch....lol:lol:

Sorry, this isn't built for India

I think the Russian refusal is probably to hamper the production of J-15s, which will operated off carriers. It is rumored that the Type 085s will use ski jump while Type 089 electromagnetic catapult
