China tells Japan to ‘get used to’ warplanes flying overhead

Of course it is in international airspace but the point here is the Timing, Message and Chinese Attitude.

In the Malabar 2007 addition naval exercises, Five countries had participated in it - US, India, Japan, Australia, Singapore & Australia.

China was so annoyed that they sent a demarche to the participating nations. The result was that Singapore and Australia had dropped from participating in the following years but Japan had formally re-joined US-India as permanent participant since 2015.

Malabar 2017 edition is current in progress from 10th to 17th, July 2017 in the Indian ocean with US, Japan & India participating in it.

China is trying to send a message to Japan that their bases at Miyako and Okinawa are going to targets.

Basically China is trying to put pressure on Japan to drop off from the Malabar exercises with US & India.

It's international airspace and Chinese backyard.

Nice media spin. Paint the aggressor (Japan) as some helpless victim while big bad China "tells Japan to get used to bla bla bla". This is proganda: demonize China whenever possible, always follow the 'anyone but China policy'. But its true, japan better stop their tomfoolery, China isnt gonna sit silently anymore.

Your post is the spin. If the Chinese wanted to use the international airspace for peaceful training, then they shouldn't have to say "get used to it" but just something like "we are only using international airspace". But instead, they responded with verbal authority.

It's international airspace and Chinese backyard.

It's international airspace and Japan's back yard. East and South of the Senkaku islands is Japan's back yard. North and West of the Senkaku islands is China's back yard. China can pass through as they please, but with such an attitude, get used to F-15Js escorting Chinese aircraft through the strait.

All here are Chinese backyard, including Japan. Time approves.

Its media spin by the western media and fools have lapped it up.

Here is what the spokesman actually said :

“The parties concerned don’t need to overact and make a great fuss about it, they will feel better after getting used to such drills.”

Not as belligerent and authoritative now is it?

Diaoyu islands belong to China. Its the Japanese propensity to stir up trouble and acting like drama queens by over reacting that is causing all the trouble.

Fair point that it is not as belligerent sounding. But lets not kid ourselves, the Chinese media is surely capable with hyping things with things like "Japan is militarizing" when it bumps its defense budget by something like 0.1%. Although the Chinese posters echoed the belligerent stance until your post, so the news article does capture the general mood it seems.

The Senkaku islands belong to Japan, not China. China even printed maps during the 1950s and 1960s showing that they belonged to Japan. They made the claim around 1970 and now are inciting nationalism to make them think that the Senkaku islands are genuinely Chinese. If long lost territory wants to be returned, look at Vladivostok and the rest of the outer regions of Manchuria instead.

Your free to dream as you like. Reality is different.

the reality is Japan will become subjective to China again as it used to be, its not about dream, its the reality going to happen```wishing American dady protects Japan is the wishful dream, at end the day, Western countries especially the U.S never sees Japan as an equal player, in short, they think they are the real ones that rule over Japan

These kinds of posts are hilarious. Wave that Jedi hand a few more times, and then maybe success in persuasion might be achieved :-)

There are a few nations that I would not advocate testing. Japan is one of them.

Someone's triggered. Easy there my Chinie friend. I got the impression from the article that Chinese jets were violating Japanese airspace. If they remain in international airspace that isn't a problem. China, as is any country, is free to fly their jets anywhere in the world in international airspace.
Your English must suck then

BEIJING – China told Japan on Friday to “get used to it” after it flew six warplanes over the Miyako Strait between two southern Japanese islands in a military exercise.

Japan’s defense ministry issued a statement late on Thursday describing the flyover by the formation of Xian H-6 bombers earlier that day as “unusual”, while noting that there had been no violation of Japanese airspace.
