Not just the headline. The entire article meant to manipulate and mislead as it purposefully avoid mentioning "international airspace", whereas if the situation was reversed, you'll see "international airspace" plastered all over the same article.

It should be noted that the military aircraft flying through the strait does come with other aggressive behavior from the Chinese. Chinese Coast Guard ships do violate Japanese territorial water, and recently, not only at the Senkaku islands. So with military air drills that pass through Japanese areas in combination of territorial water violations, it does make a full picture of aggression. And then consider how China lacks transparency about its military. Even Chinese members here don't know how many naval ships the Chinese plan on making. There's too much uncertainty.

In the morning on June 24th, 4 vessels of the Chinese Coast Guard intruded into Japanese territorial waters offshore from the Okinawan Senkaku Islands. The Regional Maritime Safety Headquarters again cautioned them to not enter territorial waters and continues to observe.

According to the 11th Regional Maritime Safety Headquarters, after 10:00AM on the 24th, four Chinese Coast Guard vessels got together and then intruded into Japanese territorial waters offshore from Uotsurishima and Minamikojima islands of the Snekaku island group.

The 4 vessels navigated within territorial waters for about 2 hours and then they all left shortly before noon.

As of 3PM, the 4 vessels were navigating just outside the territorial waters, about 33km west-southwest of Taishoujima. The Regional Maritime Safety Headquarters continues to warn them to not enter territorial waters and observe.

The last day Chinese Coast Guard vessels intruded into territorial waters offshore from the Senkaku islands was this month on the 5th, making it the 16th day so far this year.

Protest by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

In response to the intrusion of Japanese territorial waters by the Chinese Coast Guard offshore from the Okinawan Senkaku Islands, Director-General Kanesugi of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a telephoned protest to the minister at the Chinese embassy in Tokyo saying "the Senkaku Islands are an inherent part of Japanese territory and that intrusion into the territorial water infringes on Japanese sovereignty and is completely unacceptable."

２４日午前、沖縄県の尖閣諸島の沖合で中国海警局の船４隻がおよそ２時間にわたって日本の領海に侵入し、海上保安本部が再び領海に入らないよう警告と監視を続けています。

第１１管区海上保安本部によりますと、２４日午前１０時すぎ、尖閣諸島の魚釣島と南小島の沖合で、中国海警局の船、合わせて４隻が相次いで日本の領海に侵入しました。

４隻はおよそ２時間にわたって領海内を航行したあと、正午前までにいずれも領海を出たということです。

４隻は午後３時現在、大正島の西南西およそ３３キロの領海のすぐ外側にある接続水域を航行しているということで、海上保安本部が再び領海に入らないよう警告と監視を続けています。

尖閣諸島の沖合で中国海警局の船が領海に侵入したのは今月５日以来で、ことしに入って合わせて１６日となります。

外務省が抗議

沖縄県の尖閣諸島の沖合で、中国海警局の船が日本の領海に侵入したことを受けて、外務省の金杉アジア大洋州局長は東京にある中国大使館の公使に対し、「尖閣諸島は日本固有の領土であり、領海への侵入は日本の主権の侵害にあたり、全く受け入れられない」として電話で抗議しました。

At Hokkaido. On July 2nd, a Type 815A intelligence gathering ship intruded into Japanese territorial waters as it was passing through the Tsugaru strait. It went through the territorial waters around a small island that is part of Matsumae town in Hokkaido at about 10:40AM and left at about 12:10PM. It was observed by a P-1 of the 4th flight group of the JMSDF. As it exited the territorial waters and continued going east through the strait, it was observed by a P-1 and minesweeper Izushima.

And just today.

It became known on July 17th that the Chinese Coast Guard intruded into territorial waters of from Aomori Prefecture. It is the first time to be confirmed to have happened in these territorial waters.

According to the 2nd Regional Coast Guard Headquarters, a Japanese Coast Guard patrol boat confirmed that two ships of the Chinese Coast Guard intruded into the territorial waters off from Cape Henashi in Aomori Prefecture during AM hours on the 17th.

The two ships exited the territorial waters but then intruded into territorial waters again in the Tsugaru strait off from Cape Tappi. It is the first time to be confirmed in these waters.

About the Chinese Coast Guard ships, in addition to be confirmed to be navigating just outside the territorial waters of the Snkaku islands on the 17th, they intruded into the territorial waters in Kyushu at Nagasaki's Tsushima island and at Fukuoka's Okinoshima for the first time on the 15th.

About the continuous intrusion of territorial waters by Chinese Coast Guard ships, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that International law recognizes "freedom of innocent passage" that does not infringe on security, so instead of "protesting" to the Chinese side, it is taking an "interest of expression" to confirm the intention of the navigation.

　相次ぐ中国海警局の船の領海侵入について外務省は、国際法では安全を害さなければ領海を通過できる『無害通航権』が認められているため、中国側に対して『抗議』ではなく航行の意図を確認する『関心の表明』を行っている。
