China surpass Mexico as the Top Source for New U.S. Immigrants

Off topic question-----

Why are Indian Americans so successful?

.
Come on man, life in America isn't all that bad or as what they describe in some propaganda sites.

I have issues with US foreign policy and their government, but I love the America people, generally are very kind and industrious folks.

Also there is no distinct "America" culture. America is multicultural.
America is a deeply violent society that treats East Asians like sh!t

Capitalists are wealthy while the middle class all moved into working class in the past 28 years information age.

hahaha but jokes aside.

Look at the stats. Indians are extraordinarily great. Even when considering their relatively high population in the US. That means a larger number of Indian Americans are performing great.

Among the examples of Indian-American success, the book notes that of all the ethnic groups that the Census Bureau tracks, Indian-Americans have the highest median household income — $90,500 — compared with $51,200 for the United States as a whole. In fact, an eye-popping 44 percent of Indian-American households have incomes exceeding $100,000, compared with 21 percent for the entire country. Then there are the spelling bees. The winner and first two runner-ups of the Scripps National Spelling Bee in 2012 were Indian-American — the fifth year in a row that Indian-American children held the trophy aloft. (An Indian-American also won in 2013.) Of 141 U.S. Presidential Scholars in 2012, 48 were Asian-American, with the majority of those of Chinese or Indian heritage. And in Silicon Valley, Indians have started more start-ups than the next four immigrant groups combined (British, Taiwanese, Chinese, and Japanese). You get the picture: Indian-Americans are doing awesome.

Bro,

Go to any hospital; you'll see that most of the MDs on the floor are Indians. And you'll see Filipinos in any nursing department.

I dunno; Indians in India aren't performing that well otherwise their Income Inequality and Multidimensional Poverty levels wouldn't be the worst in South Asia. Maybe its got to do with better educational levels, a fair playing field and a system that rewards merit thats present in the US !

That's why I was surprised. As you said, it's the probably the system that US has in place which supports talent. And Asians are generally high achievers.

So in the world of Game of Thrones, are you saying that Indians would be working with the Grand Maester in Kings Landing?

lol :D:D

Off topic question-----

Why are Indian Americans so successful?

I think its the South Asian family dynamic that drives South Asians in America (Indians, Pakistanis, Sri Lankans) to go into the sciences field , and do so competitively.
