ISLAMABAD, Apr 8 (APP): China snubbed India on its bid to become sixth member of United Nations Security Council as Indian Foreign Minister S M Krishna sought China support for the same during his recent four day official visit to China. Political analysists said here Thursday. The joint press conference by the two respective foreign ministers and the communique also failed to find a mention of much sought after China’s support with respect to permanent seat in the UN Security Council.

Being cognizance of India’s pitching against Beijing by the United States for spearheading Asia, its Armed Forces activities on the border areas with China, its tacit support to Dalai Lama on his Arunachal Pradesh visit and its track record of declare and undeclared nuclear reactors’ radioactive leaks, China signaled its disinterest on the issue and instead said that the two countries communicated and worked together well on major issues, including combating the effects of financial crises and climate change.

Albeit, the Indian foreign secretary Nirupama Rao who had accompanied the foreign minister on the trip told reporters during a press conference in Beijing that the trip had gone well and that a long term strategic views was required of this relationship.

Cannot make any sense of this news report.
The Chinese side didnt mention they support Indias claim for UNSC seat, neither did they say they don't support Indias claim for UNSC seat. The rest of the report is incoherent. The part where it mentions "track record of declare and undeclared nuclear reactors' radioactive leaks" doesn't make any sense. What has nuclear reactor leaks got to do with bilateral relationship between countries?

strange..............just because it wasnt in joint statement, news agency made a news out of it..........let the dust settle, Mr.Krishna will explain to Indians , how succesful was his trip...........

Actually you failed to understand..they have not mention anything(NO or YES)....may be negotiation is on...security council seat is not small thing..china will calculate their profit or loss...and accept pakistan India don't have any enemy...ya we have problems with some country but still have friendly and economical relation...

.
Too early to say anything. Chinese will wiegh pros and cons. Eventually they will realize India's importance.

yup....the claim belongs to that of the writer-not china, not india!!he is just "creating" stuff and there is nothing related to the joint statement and all the other claims like -nuclear leak!!!!!my god do you guys really believe china will give a joint statement mentioning nuclear leaks!!!!:hitwall:.even though in fact there weren't any leaks!......i do believe the chinese govt is more responsible that your politicians who just make their claims and get a huge crowd to follow without even thinking about what he said !!!!as long as its against india!!!!now even news papers have started making their own claims- are they selling news? nope they are just selling stories -their own stuff which they think that it will sell.

can you guys now see where the news is coming from?? Huh
easy to blame the writer without reading it properly, isnt it.

now lets see wat makes me agree with the view of these political analysts.

1. it didnt come in any of the press statements given by the official of both countries. its not a small thing which will not make its way to front line. rather its something which u guys have been asking china for a long time now.

2.
Nirupama Rao who had accompanied the foreign minister on the trip told reporters during a press conference in Beijing that the trip had gone well and that a long term strategic views was required of this relationship.
a long term strategic views was required means both the countries still need to converge their frequencies.
