You forget France

France and UK don't produce the military jet engine more than 120KN.

Yes .But only 3 countries have Such high-grade turbofan engine in the world now.russian usa and china,

We still have a big gap in domain of the civilian turbofan for the jetliner with US and UK, hopefully we can manage to catch up within this decade.

M88 is just a middle-grade turbofan engine like your Kaveri turbofan engine.

btw, It seems your Indian's Kaveri turbofan engine has failed.:P

DRDO says its Kaveri engine can power combat drones, warships and possibly trains - Times Of India

We can still make use of it for other applications

There are only 150 engines, which can barely fit no more than 100 aircrafts in PLAAF's inventory.

Since PLAAF has more than 1000 3rd gen aircrafts, and from this you can see only a small fraction of the PLAAF aircrafts use the Russian engines.
PLAAF operates just under 500 4th gen aircraft (known forces includes 150 Su30/Su27/J11 and 150 J10, probably a few squadron still hidden from public knowledge). 150 ain't not enough to outfit all the fighters but then China is buying them to build new planes than to service existing ones since China has mastered most of the spareparts for the engine, it would take several years before they need to be replaced entirely.

if the batch is meant to be fitted to J10, it means they can double existing fleet while reserving local engine for J11... however there is also the possibility or rather the question of which engine will end up on the export version of the J10. what is powering the fighters pakistan procured for example...

. In August 2009 a Chinese AVIC official admitted there were many problems facing the Taihang but declined to elaborate. In 2004 a Russian official speculated that China would still put this engine into production. Other possible issues include incidents of shedding turbine blades, oil leakage issues, and even one unconfirmed rumor of a new J-11BS fighter disintegrating in flight due to a Taihang engine failure.

Engines are the biggest weak link of chinese air craft industry ,producing supercruise engine is the biggest challenge for chinese aircraft industry .Well we would see can chinese produce supercruise engine:coffee:

.
The Taihang is still only equivalent to 1980s American engines it is not very advanced until future variants start appearing.

Can Kaveri power your Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA)? and how does your Kaveri compare with 1980s American engines? and how advance are your LCA?

The production lines of J-10A and J-11A are closed right now.

Since a J-10A would need to use 3 to 4 AL-31FN engines for its entire lifespan.

These AL-31 engines will serve for the old aircrafts, not the new aircrafts like J-11B/J-15/J-10BII.

Kaveri at this stage can't power the LCA but this was our first attempt and it was worth the effort but now we have Snecma to help us on a new project

it's always better to have a good & reliable imported engine for ur plane ,rather than having an unreliable indigenious engine for ur plane:drag:
and how advance are your LCA?
it is of no significance to this topic

What year is this? This is 2011,not 2008 or 2009 ..

Well, some western yellow journalism has just twisted the words of Mr.Lin, since he said the TH engine had some issues in mass production, whereas they just invented the title as some serious design flaws existed in this engine.

It is nice to hear that India have also made its first attempt on engines to power their indigenous fighter and despite failing to achieve its goal is now receiving help from the French to make flying Tejas possible.

Which we have plenty of and it is now time for the indigenous to come along. It is good to see India finally getting the hang of this idea though.

It is every bit significant when you are responding to something insignificant.

Tejas are going to fly regardless buddy we have already bought the GE's F414 afterburning engines and kits for the MK 2 Tejas. It is better to work with a partner who has years of experiance like Snecma this is the big mistake we made with Kaveri we should have roped them in from the start but you learn by your mistakes.
