Add old news:
China exports first subway train to India
China's first subway train exported for use in India was released by Nanjing Puzhen Rail Transport (NPRT) in China. This subway train has independent intellectual property rights and will be used in Bombay, India's largest city. As the first export of the high-end A-subway trains, this marks a breakthrough for China's railway equipment exportation in the Indian market, and the heightened competitiveness of China's subway equipment in the global market.

Reporters learned that the first subway train to operate in Bombay will be shipped from Shanghai on March 23. The train features a wide body and a large capacity. A series of running tests are to be carried out on its arrival before it begins operation.

China’s 1st subway train for India offline in CSR
On March 20, China’s first subway train for India was offline in CSR Nanjing Puzhen Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. The train with independent intellectual property right will be used in India’s largest city Bombay. This is a breakthrough of China’s rail transit equipment in the Indian market as well as China’s first practice of exporting an A-type top subway train, marking an increase in the international competitiveness of China’s rail transit equipment.

In the sun, the train was as pretty as a bride: gorgeous decorations, beautiful butterfly film, smooth stainless steel body and rich Indian tone.

In May 2008, CSR Puzhen stood out of international large companies to get an order of 18 wide-body and large-capacity rail transit vehicles 108 carriages as the winner of the international bid for subway trains in Bombay, India. In the past 22 months, guided by the lean concept, CSR Puzhen made all-round technical breakthrough on the independent R & D platform, rapidly tackled design and manufacturing problems according to large transportation capacity, complicated running environment, high technical requirements and other characteristics of subway in Bombay, and particularly achieved major breakthroughs in 25,000V AC-DC-AC technology, development of super-wide, high-strength and light stainless steel body, sound insulation and noise reduction technology, and bogie R & D.

Pity !

Maybe this subway train using some Germa Siemens' technology or parts, but still made in China by Chinese workers/engineers, China's CSR bullet train maker and CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive manufactures European-standard metro trains, and Chinese company sell trains to India.

Chinese earning $$$ from Indian hands (Well German Siemens might earn money together), anyway our trains made in China running on ur subway lines now. Each time u and ur bros take above 3x India subway lines, ur guys will see "made in China" logo everywhere inside cars. ;):D

I guess this India high-speed railway will build for fifty years. :p

I read news India government only signed a agreement with Japan to build the high-speed rail of Mumbai-to-Ahmedabad, well China high-speed trains still have chance to join other India high-speed rail project.

Relax bros, once u bought China trains u will love it, and more and more subway/high-speed trains made in China will run on Indian lands.

Thank god, those trains are German tech. We don't have much problem with the location of the factory as long as the technology and quality control is from a reputed country. :)

And btw, before anybody jumps into any kind of conclusion, India also makes trains, but right now our demands are much more than supply because of several projects across the country.

India don't make trains. Indians don't have the intellectual capacity to manufacture. Illiteracy is a major problem for the Indians.

We are not getting Metro coaches from China: DMRC

NEW DELHI: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation on Tuesday denied reports of receiving 21 metro coaches from a Chinese manufacturer.

"We would like to clarify that the DMRC has neither placed any order nor received any Metro coach from the Chinese train manufacturer, CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive, as claimed by the reports published in some media," said Anuj Dayal, executive director (corporate communications), DMRC.

CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive, a subsidiary of major Chinese train manufacturer CSR Corporation, had claimed it supplied 21 cars to Delhi's metro rail system.

Earlier, the Chinese state media had reported that the company recieved its second order from India as it had exported 15 metro cars to the Delhi Metro in 2010.

The locomotive company had claimed the trains would be more energy-efficient and an industry model in India which is hit by power shortages.

CSR is the world's largest manufacturer of electric locomotives and is China's leading bullet-train maker.
