You sound so butthurt. It has much of an impact as all the judgements it rendered before it, zero. Of the 17 cases it issued decisions on, all of them were ignored. That's including Japan and Britain, two of the closest allies (aka pawns) to US. The PCA is unaffiliated with UN's ICJ or ILTOS. Renting in the same building in Hague to try to misrepresent it as "UN backed" or "Hague Court" is a gimmick anyone with more than double digit brain cell can see through, unless irreparably damaged by Agent Orange. Even Americans have no issue ignoring unfavorable verdict before, and that came from a legit UN sponsored court, the ICJ. What has happened from that? Nothing. It does have real impact. Now the Asian countries will use it to show China the aggressor. If perception is reality...

Budgets are finite. Money that could be used to build roads are reallocated to build weapons. You cannot get any more 'real impact' than that, kid.
Which is pretty much the entirety of the SCS since the area inside those dashes are vital to inter-states commerce.
You as a 'legitimate' source ? Yeah...Try it and see.
No. We, meaning the US and local Asian countries, are making sure that China will not be able to disrupt commerce. China using those dashy-dashy lines was a preemptive act. A Chinese national security issue. China said she needs to control that region 'just in case' anyone tried to threaten China. We are doing the same.
I do hope the PLA's leadership are just as stupid as the PDF Chinese and starts shooting.
China has not threatened or disrupted commercial shipping since proclaiming the Nine Dash Line in 1949, which is based off of ROC's 11 Dash Line proclaimed in 1911. Why do we need to start shooting when we're steadily increasing our presence and influence in the area. We're after solid gains, not empty gestures from a kangaroo court. Make no mistakes, we made those gains in the past 5 years and time is on our side.
