Even if China's economy over take that of the US or even double that of the US, US will continue to be the strongest country in the world for a long time. I do not see China militarily challenge the US until 2100 or beyond. I do believe that China and US should be friends instead of enemies.The world peace would be depending on the peace between these two nations.

We don't want to challege US, but we should have the ability to protect our global interest against any foreign country include US. China should have the ambition to surpass US in the military power.

Even if we grant that China will become a global power, that does not make the US a 'junior' partner in any alliance should both US and China deemed each other to be 'alliance worthy' and that the US remain the dominant power in the Western Hemisphere.

Go spend all ur hard earned dollars on defence and on building weapons,weapons,weapns,and weapons... while ur standard of living remains thousands times below US..... GOOD keep it up....
deprive ur people of the basic comforts of life which they need, just to build the weapons.....it doesnt make sense....U better spend this money on alleviating the rampant poverty in ur country... U dont need to be in arms race with US....

The whole Chinese industry will be benifit from the new technology researched by the military, like Project Apollo. The advanced weapon made by China can also sell to foreign countries to earn dollars... It's just a stimulus policy like infrastructure or transportation construction.
