Not to forget we have friends like Israel,Russia and partners like France,EADS who will always be ready to help us whenever we need them...

So It won't come too me as a surprise if ...soon you will need J 10B to counter our Tejas...and ya IAF don't have any problem in paying around 35-40 million$ per aircraft if it has goodies like AESA....so my suggestion to you is that don't underestimate LCA tejas....

But that is impractical. Tejas and J-10 are different categories. It is just like saying J-10 vs the MKI which again are of different categories. Tejas in its category is doing very well. It is only the inept red-tapism of bureaucracy that has stopped it from coming fast. ADA has done a fine job after its engineers were not even allowed to take their own files from Boeing's office as the news of sanctions was announced. Meaning they had to do everything all their work from scratch.

The program was actually started in 2001 with serious meaning which means 11 years is pretty good considering that 6 of those years we were under sanctions (for the engines that we had paid for already).

Usually in a war you don't see weight categories of aircraft do you? normally countries send all their jets during wars to maximum make use of the equipment. Or are you saying you will wait for MiG-29s to come and then only send J-10s "since they both are in same class"?

then again it was the other way around on in the ground

in both of those conflicts 1965 and 71 IAF aircraft losses were mostly on the ground rather than in the air 25 aircraft lost in 1965 in aerial combat while we made 17-19 aerial kills in return this is when we were flying Vampires Mysteries Gnats and Hunters against aircraft that were a generation ahead like F-104 and the F-86 for a under equipped air force that was not that bad of a performance in the air

J11 or JF17 wont make much diference in Sub continent as India got original and most modren of su 30 to counter J11 and MRCA to counter JF17. I am intrested in J10 I think it will play a major role in PAF. I am eager to see them in action

a lot of you talk about MM Alam but the PAF has never released his guncam to prove his claims in fact we only credit him with 4 aerial kills

Chuck Yeager was the one who said "the pakistani army would be in Delhi within a week" in 1971 besides he got all butt hurt when his beechcraft was destroyed by IAF bombers on a raid so anything he says is biased and therefore irrelevant

Gnats were superior to the Sabres? dude you guys had Aim-9 sidewinder missiles while we were still using machine guns and unguided rockets on our fighters! despite the Gnats being less qualitative they still owned the Sabres in the air earning them the nick name "Sabre Slayers"
