The new route is stupid. India has more than a dozen choke points in case of war. What are the Chinese strategic planners thinking?

Either that or they want it close to the border on purpose for a larger play.

This is the most suitable one:

The second and frankly, quite stupid looking route is this:

The first one have MANY benefits and will go a long way in development of Pakistan. While it covers areas that need development work, it will provide a fast way of transport with in KPK. Will server as a strategic ALTERNATE route across Pakistan in time of crisis. Also while we want peace full relation with all our neighbors, it is better to be safe then sorry. Look at the fact that who close the road is to India-Pakistan border in second route, there are over a dozen choke points.

It is best that we make a new one that is relatively in middle of the country, far away from border, provides a new alternate route across Pakistan, Helps development of MANY underdeveloped cities and go through the area with UNEXPLOITED potential rather then already developed cities like Lahore.

I am sorry to say this and try not to be political but Mian sb must be a little more broad minded in this as this is one project for the future, not for elections!! PLEASE

In a business point of view, the alternative route is more viable. It reaches all the major cities.

Pakistan from their side can build an alternate route from Islamabad that continues the old route proposal.

And whats with the title of "Middle Finger".

Chinese are smart folks... they have avoided the most volatile regions in Pakistan in the new plan... They know that even in event of a war... India will not target Chinese interest, whereas if the road crosses through KPK and Balochistan there is a fair chance of the road getting bombed by radical loonies.

I support China and want them to take the route through areas which are development deprived. We built enough of lahore and need no bull$hit metro-and-road-of-opportunities freaking around this area again. Pakistan needs to be developed end-to-end and that means poorer areas deserve to receive this passage so development would take place there.
