Once some unmanned rockets have been thoroughly tested for landing ( as @Hamartia Antidote indicated ) I would love to be among the first 10 on Mars.

An Indian went to space much before a Chinese. From this Wiki page :

Of course this was through a collaboration with the USSR.

I doubt US will be sending an Indian to Mars

For academic purposes there was the now-defunct Mars One project which was supposed to take a few people to Mars. These people would have been from many places in the world.

I am sure that by the mid-2030s there will be a few private Indian groups or the government agency ISRO which will collaborate with the Eastern bloc and the Global South bloc for a manned mission to Mars.

if China manages to send a crew to mars in 2033 that would probably be the biggest slap in the face of not just the US but the entire west.
the US didn't allow China on the ISS for fear China may get access to it's technology, if everything goes according to plan for China eventually the US will be the one asking for access to Chinese equipment for it's space program.

China plans to send its first crewed mission to Mars in 2033, with regular follow-up flights, under a long-term plan to build a permanently inhabited base on the Red Planet and extract its resources.

The ambitious plan, which will intensify a race with the United States to put humans on Mars, was disclosed in detail for the first time after China landed a robotic rover on Mars in mid-May in its inaugural mission to the planet.

Crewed launches to Mars are planned for 2033, 2035, 2037, 2041 and beyond, the head of China’s main rocket maker, Wang Xiaojun, told a space exploration conference in Russia recently by video link.

Before the crewed missions begin, China will send robots to Mars to study possible sites for the base and to build systems to extract resources there, the official China Space News reported on Wednesday, citing Wang, who is head of the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology.

For human habitation on Mars, crews would have to be able to use the planet’s resources, such as extracting any water beneath its surface, generating oxygen on-site and producing electricity.

China must also develop technology to fly astronauts back to Earth.

An uncrewed round-trip mission to acquire soil samples from the planet is expected by the end of 2030.

NASA, the US space agency, has been developing technology to get a crew to Mars and back sometime in the 2030s.

China’s Mars plan envisages fleets of spacecraft shuttling between Earth and Mars and the major development of its resources, Wang said.

To shorten the travel time, spacecraft would have to tap energy released from nuclear reactions in the form of heat and electricity, in addition to traditional chemical propellants, Wang said.

China would have to accomplish round trips with a total flight time of “a few hundred days”, he said.
China is also planning to set up a base at the south pole of the Moon and is deploying robotic expeditions to asteroids and Jupiter around 2030.

Last week, China sent three astronauts to an unfinished space station in its first crewed mission since 2016, expanding its growing near-Earth presence and challenging US leadership in orbital space.

even Chinese state owned media is saying that the Chinese state plans to send a crew to Mars in 2033.
with all of the world's major news networks and agencies saying that China plans to send a crew to Mars in 2033 for sure China's space agency or Wang or CALT or whatever is aware of the news being shared by Reuters/CGTN and all the others and if the news they share is false then for sure the space agency and it's leadership wouldn't just sleep and pretend nothing is happening and instead at least they would contact CGTN and tell them "hey our words are being taken out of context, we don't plan on sending a crew to Mars in 2033" after all sending a crew to Mars is such a big event probably on the scale of the entire world and if China' s space agency doesn't do that (ie: contact the Chinese state owned media to change their statement) then that just means the Chinese state media is correct.

Not cooperation but a healthy competition between the US and China this decade on who lands a man on Mars first. Just like the US won the race with the Soviet Union in the 1960s to land a man on the moon.

According to my prediction, the United States will face more and more problems, and it is difficult to complete some major projects like during the Cold War. And to a certain extent, it is de-industrialized, and it will be very difficult to compete with China.
