Again membership in EU has nothing to do with membership with NATO. Its just that geographically those to organizations iverlap. Sweden and Finland are EU memebr since long time ago but are not NATO members. France has been in and out of NATO.

Again the problem is Ukraine being armed to become a anti-Russian stooge. Russia dont care if Ukrainians eat McDonalds and wear french perfumes. Big powers in Europe didnt either want Ukraine to bevome a NATO member, because they knew the antgonizing effect it would have. Yet that is exactly what US and UK pushed for, in the end destabilizing entire continental europe. Mission accomplished!

You and i and everyone know what NATO is; largely a US controlled defence organization, that also benefit Europe hugely. That is still not the same as all European NATO members agree on all NATO actions.

In reality US decide and rest follow. Sometimes the rest has to follow, either they want or not. Thats the price to pay for not spending enough on Defence.

Nope: a single member can torpedo a decision. USA decision carries weight. But enough countries can torpedo Ukraine's admission.
If the big powers like Germany and France are opposed to Ukraine's NATO admission why does Putin have to attack Ukraine ? Putin has plenty of friends like leaders of Hungary and Greece to stop Ukraine's admission

Now the EU is a different story. The real problem is that Putin's Russia would never meet the bar for EU human rights standards
