China on India’s UNSC Bid: Neither "YES Nor NO"

It seems logic isn't your strong suit. We were already on the UNSC during the Indonesia riots, so how could we possibly labor under the same delusions you do? UNSC is not a panacea for your low self-esteem and sense of self-worth - you have to find some way to digest this reality.

Anyway, you haven't rebutted (or even addressed) the arguments, which still stand:
1. India has no 'right' to be on the UNSC.
2. China can offer all the lip service you want, but like what the other members UNSC really think, it's not comfortable with a Hindu upstart trying to push it's way into an established circle. Moreover, you've done nothing to assuage our collective concerns.
3. India has no business being on the UNSC. It's motivated by its own shallowness and narcissism, and has nothing substantial to contribute to global governance that it cannot already contribute in the UNGA.

By the way what business was China being the permanent member in UNSC on 1971 ? How significant was China in 1971 on world stage other than most populous country ?

The simple truth remains that none of the P5 wants India on the UNSC。

So according to your theory, which country most suitable for new UNSC member and why?

UNSC veto power was given to the victorious allies in WW2. All 5 members took part in WW2 and emerged as the victors in their respective wars. Since the end of WW2 the big 3 global powers have been USA, USSR/Russia and China. Britain and France are secondary players.

Whatever global problem that needs a solution (e.g. Iran nuclear program) it is those P5 countries that are involved and sometimes Germany as +1.

Which country is suitable you ask? NONE!

India hasn't done anything to be a UNSC member. India doesn't voice its opinion enough on important issues so no ones takes India seriously.

Russia also fought World war on your behalf on your terittory against japanese,China is not democratic but dictatorship.China joined UNSC in 1971 and not immediately after world war and so World war victory sounds lame excuse in articles.Europe already have 2 countries to be in UNSC.Of course your opinion none itself prove that your country gets diluted its power status, if any new member added to UNSC.

You fool.

China the country had UNSC veto power since the group was formed but KMT-ROC was representing China in the group instead of CPC-PRC. In 1971, UNSC switched its recognition of China to PRC instead of ROC.

To put it simply to your pee brain, the Chinese seat in the UNSC was switched from ROC to PRC.

India didn't even have a country during WW2. India has done nothing to be in the UNSC.

PRC was lucky enough to get UN veto right so I don't think India will be getting it.
It's not about luck but about power and achievements.

We fought the US and allies in Korean war to a statemate
We defeated india in 1962
We exploded our atomic bomb in 1964

UN inner club membership is not for countries that brags but based on achievements

I don't know why Indian leaders have such a hard-on for UNSC. Its just a dysfunctional schizophrenic group of elitist. Whatever US and UK proposes Russia and China opposes and vice versa in multitude of permutations and combinations. If UNSC was really effective the world and middle east in particular wouldn't be in such a mess.

I should say UN as whole is nothing more than a joke. Seriously can they even agree on a single thing? The powerful do what they want. Did China or Russia had guts to stop US from invading iraq in search for mythical WMDs? Can US do anything in SCS and Ukraine except using big words?

India should pay lip service to UN and UNSC and do what is in its best interest. Engage countries bilaterally. Even become a partner country to NATO like Australia and Japan are if China threatens them so much

The Russians just might say yes to India's inclusion as a permanent SC member with veto power. I doubt anyone else would want one more member with veto power to deal with in SC.

You moron and idiot, i ask you a question that what made china to be UNSC, as i know you are not at all an economic power, not at all a major military power during World war 2 and worse a dictator regime who suppress people even during 1971 until now.Your ROC or PRC was not a valid reason to be UNSC member.Unfortunately India was under british rule before 1947,as there is one member state required from vast asian continent, which you won by luck.

I don't think Russia will.

The G4 is composed of pro-American countries, Germany, Japan, Brazil and India.

Neither Russia or China would benefit from that.

India as a country didn't exist before British India, and Britain already had a permanent seat, so they already had representation in the UNSC.

Don't forget the Vietnam War. Vietnam's "victory" over USA was largely due to 2 big boys behind it : China's military strategic & tactical leadership and giant logistics support form the Northern Vietnam, along with the Soviets' military hardware.

India should drop the obsessiveness of joining the UNSC, P5 should remain as it is and not become P6.
I can't imagine each member would vote India to join.

India needs to concentrate on developing its economy, infrastructure, improving living standards, educating its illiterate population, give proper sanitation to its people and properly feed its people.

India has its priorities wrong. They care more about status than improving the living standards. They care more about using Vedic math to show they are growing faster than China than actually reforming and actually growing (without Vedic math).

Apparently India and her people see they fit in the description of being a great power in defeating the opponents during WW2. India does not fit in the category and no other nation qualify either. They should go read the wiki page on P5, the criteria can be found there just as it has been repeated on this thread. If some Indian members here still whine about the right to become a permanent well don't cry here, it won't help. Again take a good look at the response from USA/Russia/UK and France.
