A Chinese official, Xu Zhitao, has denied accusations by Indian officials that a revered Tibetan leader living in India is a spy for the Chinese government, Chinese news reports said this week. Indian officials first accused the Tibetan, the 17th Karmapa Lama, left, of being a spy after Indian police officers seized $1.5 million worth of foreign currency, including Chinese renminbi, last month from the lama’s home in Dharamsala. There is a dispute over the Karmapa Lama; a rival candidate who has close ties to Indian intelligence officials claims he is the true lama. Tibetan Buddhism’s spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, backs the one in Dharamsala, seen by many Tibetans as a possible future leader.

The lama is not a agent, he is a double agent, triple agent, or maybe more, it depend on how many foreign currency he has.:bunny:

What else would one anticipate? The chinese govt to accept them as their agent? DUHHHH...

if he were, will india sentence him ((which is rude and might cause unnecessary diplomatic tensions) or repel him back to home?

First of all, there's no evidence whatsoever of that.

Second of all, perhaps India should stop harboring Dalai Lama, which was claimed to be a CIA operative.

He wasn't claimed to be a CIA operative. CIA itself declassified documents on how the Dalai Lama was on their pay roll. It's not exactly secret anymore

Dalai secretly trained some rebels to wage a skirmish campaign with the assistance of CIA. Only gullible white celebrities and some Indians buy his bullshit about being peace and non-violence. All that spiritual crap came later when CIA decided to pull the plug on him. He can rot in India for all I care.

with just about $1.5 millions and the police accused him of being a spy?
don't indian people know, religious is big business nowadays??? or the police department needs the fund that bad???

Oh yeah! If he isnt a spy then how come chinese currency and sims were recovered from him.
