No one is dictating Bangladesh. We ave more interest in Bangladesh just like China. Its about business. SAHARA wants to build city worth millions of dollars and other infrastructure project. Bangladesh is also the shorter gateway for us to Myanmar and other East .

Why won't we try to get the business that you guys are offerening to China. Its all about competition, isn't it.

Lets face it, strategic significance of such deep ports is well known. India lost in case of Sri lanka, considering from neutral point of view, won't it bee obvious to get the work from Bangladesh to China without giving a chance to get for ourselves.

As for technology, India is capable but if you want to ignore it, do it.

This is not a thread to show your patriotism or bravery, its about economic and strategic aspect of this port.

Good news. Hope this project won't face the same fate like all other project due to bad planning. But 1 thing is bothering me why it will take so much time (up to 2036 & 2055) to complete it? Is it not strange and is it really impossible to build earlier then that? Lastly why so much hesitation to choose a single country or couple of countries for the project?

We not going to build the full capacity at one go. As the demand increases we will expand and make new jetties. So to reach the full capacity we may need to wait till 2055. But the first phase can be completed in 3 years and ready to be used.

I exposed indian duplicity that in one hand india is already obstructing Awami League regime to take Chinese loan (read iajdani's post about indian obstruction) and obstructing Bangladesh functioning as independent country and on other hand indians are demanding Bangladesh should be grateful for our independence.
