This forceful quarantine of citizens with the police state involved for the purpose of a "zero covid" strategy is gonna cause discontentment among your subjects. China enjoyed it's 20 yrs of capitalism, now it is going back to Communist owned businesses and a big cut going to the Country. I just hope that is not a long term change as that will crush everything China has meticulously worked on for it's prosperity. An aggressive border stance and the old school land grabbing is gonna isolate China even more. Yes the market economy which China had for the past few decades has caused the whole world to depend on China for every kind of essential goods. Kudos to the hard working Chinese. The iron rod of the current leader will work on a short term but if he continues on that for too long it will crush the people's spirit. Anyway my 2 cents here...
