Tesla sales accounts for merely 5% of total EV sales here. The rest are Chinese EVs such as BYD, NIO, XPeng, etc. etc.
BTW, Tesla uses 90% of Chinese components such as the battery and the motors, etc., and let's remind you that MG is also complete Chinese from the skin to the heart, which are sold like hotcakes in your master's land UK...Haha...

China still don't innovate to be leaders... They are still in the design copy phase. They have improved quite a bit... However still need a lot of time to take the lead.

Quality and having strong standards and regulations is still not there.

China is building some of the most advanced cars in the world nowadays. They are just rarely exported.
