China & Indonesia Signs $6 Billion Deals
China & Indonesia have signed a package of economic and trade cooperation agreements worth some 6.6 billion US dollars. This came after talks between top legislator Wu Bangguo and speaker of Indonesia's House of Representatives, Marzuki Alie.
Wu Bangguo is in Indonesia on an official visit. He proposed increasing bilateral trade volume to 50 billion dollars by 2014. He also called for closer coordination in dealing with international and regional affairs and working together for the benefits of the two countries and the entire developing world.
Marzurki Alie called Wu's visit a major event in the history of bilateral ties. He also called for making full use of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area for greater cooperation in infrastructure, energy resource exploration and trade.
