China has massive traffic jam

Yaa i have no reply for this thing. may be we can have a backup system capable enough in case of car crash which moves the car to a desired position with traffic control stations which may dispatch units.


I think this can be managed like having speed zones vertically as we have on highways. Aerial stations can work as the traffic signals where one can go up or down a level. Of course it will complicate but i dont think complicacy would be a problem as it is also not now but the immense amount of vehicles.


haha that depends on dressing also mate. As far as the military installations are concerned they can proofed any time. there can be a no fly zone near them to a safe distance. still those capable spies can hire a private plane and take a ride and get the pics.

One thing I want to do if I get my flying car is add thrust vectoring capability. I'll be cobraing my way to school lol :D.

Ok back on topic. More realistically I think China should try restricting the number of vehicles on the road at any given time. Low carbon-emission vehicles may be given the priority so the government could encourage domestic car makers/buyers to purchase vehicles using alternative fuel.

even i will make a sukhoi out of it. my mom already says that i have made a ferrari out of my 800 cc car.....:lol:


on topic i think emphasis should be paid on car pooling. Here in india organizations are taking up initiatives to car pool within themselves. There are circulars about the route and people car pool within the same root.

More like less private cars on the road. Taxis are the way to go, they are dirt cheap and will get you anywhere you want to go in Chinese cities. If you're really cheap you can go for public transit which isn't all that bad. I remember riding the bus a lot as a kid when my dad was a prof at Beijing university.

yes but the problem is the number of people in private transport within city during the peak hours. like in delhi there is metro at every 3 mins interval and it gets so overcrowded that you have literally struggle to get in the peak hours. this is just because of the population which we have.

Growth in the number of cars cannot be checked because having a car is something considered prestigious in India and China for a common average earning man. so it becomes more of a showoff. with the rise of china and india more and more people are getting uplifted in the economic zone and with better salaries they have options to opt for one.

Yeah apparently in China you're not even marriage material until you own a car (some parts of the country). I am sorta against this neo-materialism growing in China, where rich people dress hideously in all brand names and people think everything western is good and high-status.

thats very true. while in west custom made clothes are considered a luxury here we have the just opposite. I still remember when i was small clothes getting stiched with the local tailors.

Actually thats a bit more we have seen times when we faced the worst draught and have seen a time when we had to think about the food in the evening after having lunch as a nation. Indians as a whole fasted for a day in 60s to save food. So now when we are becoming self sufficient we try to fullfill what was missing from our lives. spiritualism cannot come till your materialistic needs are satisfied.

But yes this is causing extra burden on our very own infrastructure. in cities how many fly overs can we make. The place where i live we have 3 flyovers in the span of hardly 5km.

BEIJING: A massive traffic jam in north China that stretches for dozens of miles and hit its 10-day mark on Tuesday stems from road construction in Beijing that won’t be finished until the middle of next month, an official said. Bumper-to-bumper gridlock spanning for 60 miles (100 kilometres) with vehicles moving little more than a half-mile (one kilometre) a day at one point has improved since this weekend, said Zhang Minghai, director of Zhangjiakou city’s Traffic Management Bureau general office.Some drivers have been stuck in the jam for five days, China Central Television reported Tuesday. But Zhang said he wasn’t sure when the situation along the Beijing-Zhangjiakou highway would return to normal. The traffic jam started Aug. 14 on a stretch of the highway that is frequently congested, especially after large coalfields were discovered in Inner Mongolia, Zhang said. Traffic volume has increased 40 percent every year. Drivers stranded in the gridlock in the Inner Mongolia region and Hebei province, headed toward Beijing, passed the time sleeping, walking around, or playing cards and chess. Local villagers were doing brisk business selling instant noodles, boxed lunches and snacks, weaving between the parked trucks on bicycles. ap
