Here you show your classic Chinese trait and a deep misunderstanding of soft power. Money = buys your status for the Chinese. The Chinese are very materialistic, and you know what I mean.

You believe if you are rich it automatically implies respect and worship. This stems from growing up where freedom, rights, appreciation for people across all aspects are stunted. Like it or not people see the US as the ultimate place for freedom and opportunity of being successful because it's about hard work and our democratic system.

Chinese don't quite get that concept. This is why we see the richest of Chinese tourists, when encountered in international environments, act loud and obnoxious. To a point where your government has to print booklets to teach the Chinese how to behave outside of China and within. Nobody every aspires for brand China. Your nuvo rich are looking to take their money and escape out of China.
